Well, I've heard mention of here on various forums... I'm a member of roughly a dozen Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, and Honda forums. I come here in search of wisdom. My fiance is getting a '99 Integra LS tomorrow that while being mechanically sound, the body needs some work. I was hoping that somebody could give me suggestions on how to get it to look good or if I'm gonna have to invest in a paint job. It looks and feels like the Integra has no clearcoat anymore... I hope this isn't the case.

Right now it just looks like your every day older Integra, but I know damn well that this car could look pretty damn good.

By hand, however I may have access to a buffer if need be, however I do not like them. Had an '07 Nissan SE-R in black that was ruined by an idiot kid with a buffer at the dealer.

I got a good coat of wax on and the paint is darker and less noticeably destroyed, but it looks grim. Gonna get it again Tommorow.

Also put some Meguiars PlastX on my Tacoma lights (head and fog), and that stuff is awesome!

try doing a test spot with some ultimate compound and see what results you get, it can be used by hand and/or DA. i would suggest picking up a PC in the future as it will give you better results and is safe to use as well...
