Deltron- try adding the woolite to the water instead of the other way around.



I've got my mix in a spray bottle. When I made it I had to let it sit for a while for the sudsing to subside. Now there's no problem and I can grab the spray bottle when needed. Spraying on an applicator causes NO sudsing.
 
I also found that 6:1 mixture is soapy. What I usually do is 1 squirt of Woolite mix and follow up with a few squirts of plain water.

Thank you .. As I said before too .. over application .. and yes if you mix 1 part Woolite and use a garden hose to force spray in 20 parts water it will suds too. I use the 6:1 all the time on doors panels etc with a direct spray(s) from a spray bottle then aggitate and wipe with a MF and no suds..



When I mix mine I put the 1 part Woolite in the spray bottle then a gentle stream of cold water to get the 6 parts .. hardly a suds at all in the bottle .. then I swirl/ shake to mix.
 
If you feel that 6:1 is too soapy, try 10:1. It will reduce the cleaning effectiveness somewhat, but if your interior is in decent shape, you should be fine.
 
What I do is take a 1/8 cup and pour 6 of those into a spray bottle. then in goes 1/8 of the yellow woolite. The only suds I get are right when I spray it, then they go away a few seconds later. Should I shake up the combo in the spray bottle? The color is blue on my gray interor also, wierd... maybe because I need to shake it up before use?
 
I used a bug sponge instead of a dobie and it worked like a charm. This is a great idea, it gives a little scrubbing action that helps with the cleaning and it doesent hurt any material. Ive used it on vinyl, cloth seats , carpets and leather. Great idea!
 
I think I was the one who saw the post of the 'scrub sponge on interior' and walked over to my kitchen and thought, "that sure looks like my Dobie." Anyway, I've been using Dobies for years because they don't scratch our Corian countertops. Never thought of using them on the car. That sure was a great suggestion.



A Dobie is not like a bug sponge. Yes the mesh is finer, but it's sort of directional. That is, when you run your hand over it it kind of scrubs in one direction, but the mesh lays down when you go in the opposite direction. Not exactly sure why this works so well, but it does. Oh yeah, they also seem to last forever. Heck, I remember my grandparents had Dobie sponges. And SOS pad too (but I wouldn't recommend using them on your car ;))



After that post the other week, I went out and bought four just for the garage!
 
Yup I use 10 parts distilled water to 1 part Woolite. Its mixed in a spray bottle that is used for this only. It works great!
 
Just to add to the Dobie Pads, you can buy the 3 pack at Target for $2.60 (86 cents each), which is slightly cheaper than Wal*Mart's 2 pack @$1.87 (93 cents each).

Wow the price is lower now than in the '60s LOL
