Interior Window MF Techniques?

How do you guys hold your MF when cleaning Interior Windshield and back windows? What are the techniques and amount of pressure used? How many firm sprays of glass cleaner do you use?



I tried to solve this with the Stoner's Reach and Clean, but it seems I cant "work" the glass with this tool, only go over it. It may also be the source to my streaking problem Or I maybe I am spraying too much cleaner on the bonnets.
 
When it comes to cleaning windows and using window cleaner... less is more ;) You don't need alot of it to go a very very very long ways. As long as one side of your towel is just moist you have pleanty. One side to clean the other side to dry. If both sides get moist you're using way to much product.
 
use a very liberal amount of glass cleaner, two mf towels (one gets saturated too fast) and flip often...
 
Too much cleaner. Often I sometimes just fog the glass with my breath and wip with a dry MF and that's enough. For stubborn stuff I just use windshield washer fluid in a spray bottle. Maybe a half spray for the whole windshield and the moisture on the cloth is enough to to the rest of the car interior.
 
I simply use on damp (water) MF to wipe the windows and one dry (clean) MF to dry. Streak free everytime.

For very dirty ones I use cleaner first
 
Try using a glass master tool. You can get one on AG. I simply use a good MF and use the tool as I would my hand, but it is alot easier. You can't go wrong with stoners invisible glass cleaner!

The Glass Master tool is the same tool as the Stoner's Reach and Clean that shadow85 is talking about. I use a similar tool from Griot's Garage. I lightly mist the mf bonnet with Stoner's and it works great, especially on interior glass.

I have the "TV" version of the Stoner's Reach and Clean that I picked up a few years ago at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Instead of using the bonnets that came with it I just trap a good MF under the head of the tool and use it that way.



The glass cleaners I use with great success are Stoner's IG and the Surf City brand. How much I use depends on how dirty the windows are. Some windows a barely damp MF works well, while on really dirty ones I'll make one or more passes with cleaner sprayed directly on the glass. The key is to follow up ASAP with a clean and dry MF. MF's that have been used previously for wax, polish, etc. removal (even if they have been washed) might be leaving a film behind.



As much as I like the glass tools like the Stoner's Reach and Clean for mini-van and other hard to reach windows, if reachable I like doing them by hand whenever possible.

Yes, for some reason when I use that too, the head seems to grab the windows and become hard to move around. Doesn't move smoothly like the video. Pressing too hard? Also, suppose to use little little glass cleaner, so which part of the bonnet should I give a quick mist?
