Interior scents

I wish Yankee Candle's car scents were cheaper. When it comes to scents, it's almost like they have that mastered to a science. They have 2 different kinds for the car. One is your usual hang on car air freshener (scented cardboard) and they have a better kind (more expensive though) that's also a hang on but made in gel. Most of their scents are girly, but I LOVE their Clean Cotton scent. It's just too bad their products are so expensive. My wife and I have gotten into numerous arguments over the amount of money she's spent at their store.

A female member on here had once suggested using their tart candle. I believe they cost around a buck. It's supposed to work via heat IIRC. I asked my wife if she had any tarts she didn't mind me having, and she said no and that it would be a stupid idea to use it in the car. I think she just didn't want me to use any of her's. I'll have to buy one and give it a try in the car someday.

i just put one of these in my cup holder, and it's only around a buck...

Al, my wife made me buy one of those Renuzit for the car once. The scents are strong, smells nice, and lasts a good while especially when you consider they actually cost only $1. You might even be able to get it cheaper as I often see coupons in the Sunday paper for it. Unfortunately for me it didn't work out because it is big (it's roughly about 3 or 4" tall IIRC) and I have a limited amount of cupholders in my car (2). Good deal though.

For those looking to get the Glade Car Scented Oil, here's my quick review on it:

I had used the oil based fragrances in the past inside the house and I liked it so I purchased these for my car. Unfortunately, the problem with the scented oil is that it requires HEAT and a FAN in order for the scent to be dispersed and for you to be able to smell it.

The home units are perfect because you plug it into your wall and it gets heated that way and then the fragrance is blown out. The car units on the other hand has nothing to heat up the oil. Even on a hot summer SoCal day, I never found the product to work for me. You're better off buying those clip on air fresheners if you want something to clip onto your vents.

It's been at least 3 years or more since I've used this product so maybe they've improved since then? I used these when Glade first brought them out to the market. Here's what they look like:

Gotta love the Clean Cotton, one of the few scents that i do not get tired of.

For customer cars i have been using Big D aerosols for awhile. Most of the scents can be overpowering if overused. What i did, is find an old aerosol tip and put it on the can so it can be sprayed for only a few seconds. They are meant as a total release, but that is over kill in a car.

The New Car scent is strong = New Leather in the Malco line, the same scent?

Malco's Xtrax is also strong, clean soapy smell? I use the most of Big D Sunburst, i think the same as Malco's Citrus. Smells like Fruit Loops. Pleasant and not overpowering. A 2-3 second spray last for days and it goes up from there.

Searching out some products i came across this site for detailing products.
