Hey guys, been reading up on using this wool - lite solution for cleaning the interior.

I don't have a wet vac, and do ''detailing'' as a hobby, something to relax, and to do with friends so i don't think i am gonna shell out lots of money on a vac.

How would i go about cleaning a carpet in a car? i know its horrible of me to ask, but what about those foam cleaners? any good?

thanking u in advance for any help:xyxthumbs

Get the Woolite and a pile of quarters.

Now, get thee to a self serve car wash with a big a** vaccum.

Problem solved.

You can buy a Karcher wet & dry for around £50 from Halfords and Argos sell several cheap & cheerful ones too.

Your alternative is to use a spray bottle with a solution of carpet shampoo and a good scrub brush. Spritz the carpet and brush in then leave to air dry and vacuum away any residue.

I now use APC+ for mats - similar method but sometimes hose down driver's mat as it gets really filthy, especially this time of year.

I've found that interiors are the one area I've never really had problems with. My car ain't a show queen and it's usually just me driving so I guess that's why it stays relatively clean & fresh plus a good friend has 2 pro carpet shampoo machines (he's in the industrial cleaning chemicals business) which will monster just about any stain on any upholstery.

I'm trying to blag some samples from him for UK users to try - I have an odour remover already which is the biz - 5 mins to wipe out the smell of a takeaway completely!

I use 1001 carpet shampoo or one of a number of products made by Selden in Derbyshire (the co my pal works for). I've used AG interior shampoo before but don't like the smell - just my opinion.

Check the UK retailers sticky Lowejackson sorted as this will tell you whether Woolite is available over here - I've not seen it anywhere myself.

Use the woolite solution, spray on , brush in , wipe with towels, let air dry, all done. If you cant find the brand name Woolite you can use any fine fabric wash.

~One man’s opinion~

I use Autoglym Car Interior Shampoo; I think it’s available at Halford’s in the UK

~Hope this is of some help~
