Interior/Exterior Question For Pros

For those of you that charge a fee for your service, when doing the interior, are there ever scuff marks, scratches, stains, fading, etc... you can't get out and the customer is aware of this? Also, do any mobile or fixed location guys just do a spray on wax for the waxing or do you all use a buffer and do scratches, paint stuff, etc...? I'm just curious, any input is greatly appreciated :)

There are some very bad interiors with damage that is unrepairable or at least to the extent where the time of effort x additional charge will not be worth it to the customer. I usually gauge this during a walk through with the customer while pointing out problem areas making comments like "this looks pretty bad" or "this may not come out". Nine times out of ten their response is a sheepish look and "yeah, I understand. Do what you can."

If they say something like, "I want it perfect" then I will go through whatever needs to be done to get it restored properly and charge accordingly.

I use a buffer and paint correction.

I just do what I can to make it look as good as possible and I usually dont get many questions about why did this or that not come out. My clients usually just understand that wear and tear are inevitable.

I usually let them know ahead of time what usually doesn't come out. There's not much out there that I can't figure out how to get out though. But I definatly polish paint to. The only real use I've ever found for spray wax is to cut drying time in half. Not sure to many "pro's" out there would claim that they don't do paint correction as well.
