I too would like to know more. Not in a belief that there is a "magic bullet" but to learn more about your techniques, equipment, and process. Trial & error is one thing, but guided trial and error is much better.

You obviously have skills and knowledge that I, and my guess many others, could learn from.

Man, achieving superior results on jobs that many would walk away from begs for details!

I don't know what's more putrid, a vanful of kid-residue or an asphalt interior. What's next, child-pavers to combine the worst of both worlds? :wink:

I don't understand how people that are that sloppy have the $$ to get the car cleaned up nicely.

Sorry I am late in responding have been very busy. We use CFR extraction machines and believe they are the best extraction units for the results we have been able to achieve. They have a rapid recovery atomization nozzle that does not saturate the fibers?

Our process is simple, thorough vacuum, a good pre spray, enzyme for mild odors, stain removers, sufficient dwell time, agitation with air brush tool to get dirt to migrate up the fibers, extraction and rinse of the carpet and seats. Immediate drying so you can reduce wicking. Liquid can remain in the backing of the carpet and seat covers and through capillary action stains can wick back up into the carpet fibers.

I've seen the wicking of stains many times over the years, especially on seats like the ones you posted in your other thread, and it's always been a battle to keep it from happening.

While I think most of the members here are focused on exterior results, I really appreciate you coming here and sharing this knowledge which should definitely help us all improve the results we get on out interiors. :thumbup:

I went to the CFR website - interesting place, looked all around, could find all kinds of info on machines, products, tools, but no pricing.
Every time, I tried to get more info the link took me to an email address.
Really annoying..
Looks like the tools are like the Sapphire concept which alone costs over 400$.
Wonder who copied who?? :)

I found a few sites selling the machines for about $4100. ;)


I managed a high volume shop in the late 1990's that had a solution recycling system like the CFR....can't recall if it was the same brand though...
 
You are correct about the CFR=$$$ we have over 5 of them.

I posted because I wanted readers to know that many detail shops produce excellent quality work and to dispel any the notion that we are not as informed about modern methodologies and equipment. We are just as exacting about exterior results as we are about interiors. A good detailer or establishment should be able to do all things equally well.

Well TL your a clean guy ! I didnt say ALL men .........
That car seriously looks like my ex BF car . He also had a blue honda interior just like that. I would only clean it after he took all the trash out!
 
In a couple of months the car will just as dirty. This car should be taken away from these people. They dont deserve a car like this . Im not going to rant rant, rant, rant.

One of the things you learn in this business is that you cannot get too emotionally involved with the car. The fact that it will be dirty in a few months is not our problem. The next time the choice of who will clean the car should be an easy decision for them make.
