Interior cleaning product

~One man’s opinion / observations ~

Q: I've heard a couple of people mention using Dreft instead of Woolite. Has anyone tried that?

A: Dependant upon which ones at the supermarket at the time, I use either one (they are both a mild pH neutral soap)

Q: I am guessing that the Woolite removes the 303/UV protectant, is that right?

A: Yes, unless it’s a fabric treated with a fabric guard protector (if it were me I respray the UVR protection anyway)

~Hope this helps~

splogue, yes you can use Dreft instead of Woolite. The idea is a very mild detergent. And it's 1 part Woolite (Dreft) and 6 parts water. I've heard of people mixing it as low as 1:4.

Brieldo, no not a good idea for your synthetic suede or real suede. I'll do some searching and get back to you on what to use. I know that I saw a post in the LexusOwnersClub.com website. I'll look it up and post it back here later today.:xyxthumbs

Scottwax, do you follow the Woolite with a UV protectant? I am still concerned that the Woolite removes the protection. How would one know?

You mean on the leather and vinyl? Always on leather (even though Woolite/water leaves the leather feeling very soft) and on vinyl, it depends. Some of the newer cars don't get any appearance improvement with protectant and some customers don't like it at all.

OSH is Orchard Supply and Hardware. I never leave home without my Castrol Super Clean. Diluted properly, it can be a very gentle cleaner, full strength its unmatched IMO.

How is everyone applying the woolite? Dreft? In a spray bottle? Because it is think and I am guessing when you mix water, the thickness goes away?
