Interesting Observation on Polish Seperation

So I'm cleaning 2 polish dispenser bottles. One's a fine finishing and another is a light polishing.

You can't get all the product out by squeezing it out, so I decided to just run some hot water in them and let it soak. It's funny cause I would assume the product would float to the top. On one bottle, the product is floating to the top. The other is opposite, and settles to the bottom

What was it that floated to the top or bottom? Abrasive will very rarely float to the top though I guess it is not beyond possible. Of course if you do have something at the bottom, it is best never to use it because it could cause problems (for instance, if you use a settled abrasive layer, the abrasive level in that sample will be much higher than intended).
