Interesting findings Klasse AIO VS Zaino AIO

Accumulator,

I did not use anything on the flat black decals and spent 45 (long) minutes taping them off as to prevent any compound/polish/sealant from coming into contact with them. I only used FK1000P on the rear spoiler (two coats, 24 hours apart) only to compare against ZAIO.



I had, in the past, gone over the decals with Duragloss Aqua Wax.

Wanted to mention this as well...



It lighly rained for about 10 minutes yesterday. I walked out to the car about 1/2 an hour later and the Zaino side of the hood had no water beads compared to the Klasse side which beaded like Collonite 845, smalll and many.



So for the person with a dark colored car ZAIO might be something to look into.

...but today after washing the car the Klasse side was almost completely dry with not a single bead on it vs the Zaino side.

ZAIO def needs a bit of cure time on the paint and you need to apply it on completely dry paint. I've had a couple of instances where I've had water mixed in (draining from trim/etc) and it severely compromised the effectiveness. In general, ZAINO stuff hates water where some other products seem to tolerate a bit of sloppiness.
 
yakky- That's good to know about the ZAIO and water, completely opposite from, say...Klasse AIO.



Wonder if the sheeting-itself-dry characteristic of ZAIO (which I never paid much attention to) helps explain how the (white) Crown Vic seems to stay so clean between washes...some dark stains from actual *dirt* after it got rained on, but not nearly as nasty looking as a neglected white car would normally look.
