Interest in a North Carolina area Detail Meet?

My uncles 2500hd has some horrific water etching if anybody wants to try their hand on that. I tried with my pc and some 3m medium cut compound with no luck. I also may have a red tahoe that has some bad swirls that needs some attention.

Well taken that the majority of people like the Raleigh area ( I do! ) Who or where would be the best place to meet? Air conditioning is sweet!

My mom has a silver Honda CRV that is an absolute trainwreck. Its filthy, has some scratches on it and has probably never been detailed. I think it could be brought back around to a pretty good looking car but it's a SEROUS undertaking, which is why Ive been avoiding it. I'd be happy to donate that to the cause :D

I was going to do it for the detaling contest but every time I look at it, I just shudder and find an excuse to do something else :)

Im a detaling "enthusiast" but Id be up for a get together.. Im in Garner off of I40 and Hwy 42 so Raleigh works great for me.

So Raleigh area? :woohoo: I have a rotary I'd like to try out and I'm sure 2 + PC's going will be perfect. Anymore ideas or locations?

Well like I said, I have a garage in Louisburg(about 25min from I-540 up #1 and near Youngsville). It is a 60x40 air conditiond with a concrete drive behind the house. It would probably fit 3 cars at a time but a couple more on the concrete driveway. I'm sure dad would let me use it (thats what he said he built it for). I can ask if anybody is interested.

I didnt realize there were so many enthusiasts in Raleigh. I am around 440/70 behind Crabtree and would love some rotory experience. I will be watching this thread.

At the end of August I will be going to Myrtle beach and passing by the Harbor Freight store. I plan to pick up a rotory. I will be glad to bring it and let us all experiment with it. I could also pick one up for someone if they were interested.

They had 2 more left as of a week ago, and I dont know how often they order those models. I picked mine up for about 29 bucks. Love Love it BTW!

There are 27 of the Model 92328? (Makita Style one) Up in Raleigh. I have mine and definitely intend to upgrade next year to a Makita! Anyone have pics of the cars we could possible work on?

It's still open, I can do it this week and after that it will have to be in the afternoons and weekends(college). I get off at 2:00 from VGCC, so anytime after that is cool, and if you wait until winter, its heated too!
