Rain all morning and I still get a call for an estimate. I sold the job and drove it to the house dispite the weather. Sorry for the dark pics, but at least I was makin' money on a rainday. Sorry no more afters, it turned out nice but it started raining again and was getting dark when I finished. When I dropped it off, I redried and QID the exterior in his garage.

It was a little neglected, but not abused. He was more concerned with the interior so the outside only got a one step + small correction on the trunk lid.

Thanks For Looking!

It sure is nice to make money on a foul weather day while others are doing nothing.

Lexus owners sure love their cars however most of the time they don't treat them like they do.

Nice work bud!

I spent 9 hours on one of these on friday and have to go back today and finish. It was a total recon job with PDR, wet sanding the works.

Hey,

You said you "drove it to the house". Do you find that customers are OK with you taking thier cars to your house to detail them?

I'd rather do it mobile at their house, but they seem to prefer me to deliver. I live right in the middle of town in a pretty nice neighborhood so I've never had a comment about it being a home instead of a storefront. I do have a few customers, that drop off and walk home. I keep my garage looking neat and clean just in case people wanna hang around before or after their detail. My house is for sale and we'll be moving out of town a ways, so I already have a space lined up. To answer your question: I've never had a comment, neither positive nor negative, and I'm getting referrals from just about every vehicle I do.

That's a pretty cool setup to be able to deliver the cars. You must have a good rapport with your clients.

Nice work!

Thanks! I do have good relations with most all of them Chris, and it's a real blessing. I was able to be picky when I first started, because I had another job and all my business has come from refferals and personal sales by me. Cookeville is only a town of 70k people and I've lived here all my life, so I know alot of people and they all know me from the family business I used to work at.

I got to work with all the rain on Monday too, nice when that happens!

Nice job on the Lexus, especially for a quicky job. :up

Thanks Scott, I got to do a Volvo in the rain today. I love working despite the weather. I feel like I've finally arrived since people don't want to loose their appointment with me. I used to get cancellations every time it rained.
