integritydetail: Black Tundra-1st C&B

Chris@Optimum

Optimum Product Support
Well after much debate I decided to do my first C&B. I haven't posted one before because I thought of it as, well, bragging, but lately I realized that it shows people what they can achieve and I'm proud of the products I've been using so it's kind of a thank you to the manufacturers.

Here's the process:

1) Wheels-Scott's Wheel Brite

Tires-BleechWhite

Wells-Autobrite APC

2)Gilmore Foamgum and GS wash with TOTL Bubble Bath

Blow-dry with ShopVac Leaf Blower

3)Light Claying on front, mirrors, roof, and mirrors-3m Perfect-It Blue Clay

7424 & LC CCS Yellow-Ardex SmartCut-2x

7424 & LC CCS White-PoliSeal-1x

OCW 2.0-1x

4)Wells & Tires-OptiBond (2:1) via. Wagner Control Sprayer

5)Vacuum and LGM Mats after soaking in Scott's B1 Upholtery APC(32:1)

Wipe down seats and panels with B1(32:1)

Windows-Sprayaway Aerosol

6)Dress Exterior Trim-HiTemp Bumper and Molding Renew

ENJOY!

Thanks for looking! Comments Welcome

Looks really good. I noticed you did Poli Seal on that metal toolbox. My brother-in-law has one just like that on his truck which I'll be detailing in a few weeks. How did that Poli-Seal work on the tookbox? Clean it up a lot?...damage the pads, take long, etc...?

Anyway, great job on that detail. Owner should definitely be happy.

Thanks for saying so! He was very pleased and scheduled another car already. He lives in a very prominant area and I'm sure he will give me some referrals, hooray! Well I never did one before so I put a green cyclo pad on the 7424 with one pass of PoliSeal and got totally lucky. Did not damage the pad at all, I was surprised. This box was painted black though, may be different on a unpainted one. Took literally 2-3 minutes.

Looks great! What do people say when they see you "painting" their tires? :D

You know how guys are, they see a new toy when you break out something like that. It actually looks like you are doing a more professional job b/c you're using a special tool. Percieved Value Is EVERYTHING! The thing I like about it is speed and it allows me to apply a super thin, even coat--which actually saves me money.

Where did you get that mini bottle of OCW

Before I started using Optimum Products, I called David (Dr. G) and told him I wanted to try his lineup but didn't want to buy large amounts till I had sampled some. He told me if I'd buy a sampler kit (4oz-OCW, TS, CW, IP & a MF) for $20, he'd through samples of the OP, OHC, OP in for free. I love the size and sprayers on the bottles so I just refilll them from my gallon. They are the perfect size to keep in your pocket for touch ups when delivering a car or keeping in the glove box for the "emergency bird bomb/mud puddle kit", lol

I just saw the link that you posted in my Click 'n Brag, this is fantastic work! I completely underestimated the paint on these things, I thought it would be as soft as Nissan paint. Not exactly!

This one look beautiful...

Thanks, when I saw the one you did I thought it was deja vu. They were both swirl city and we double-teamed 'em. Took me 7 hours to do this one interior and all. You dod very good work my friend!
