Insurance Question

I have a question to you guys regarding insurance. My insurance agent from Farm Bureau is telling me that they do not offer coverage for skills related incidents such as paint burn through or paint damage from a buffer accident or correction of some sort. They do offer the Garage Keepers and the general liability that covers the property at my home or during travel to and from and I realize this is a "no brainer" for the business. I am still uncomfortable about operating without the lack of coverage for skill related incidents- even though I have never had one. Can you guys that are carrying policies give me some insight on this ? Thanks

You'll want to look into bonding. An insurance company doesn't cover a construction contractor for poor or untimely work, a bond covers these things.

It's true that a bond will pay for the damage caused by the detailer's poor work but there's an indemnity clause in the bond that states if the bonding company has to pay the customer for the damage the detailer has to reimburse the bonding company. Bonds are written to provide peace of mind for the customer and really don't provide insurance coverage for the detailer. That's why a customer should ask if the detailer is licensed and bonded.
