Inspirational Detailers

Thank you boys.

I learned to just do what works for me and not what works for everybody else.

To many people for me to name. Most notably Bob Willis (AutoConcierge) after working with him on several tough corrections I can say he is the real deal both in a high skill and professional level.

paul dalton (i cant believe his name hasnt come up yet), bob willis from auto concierge, clark from polished bliss, todd helme cause of his insane attention to detail (but ive seen the guy leave rude comments quite a few times, that i didnt like)

I have no particular inspiration

Because I look at the passion and hard work that alot of the pro detailers on here post. And its amazing. I always felt a true passion for the detailing world. And always started or hoped to start a business. The more I talk to the Pros around here It keeps that Idea tumbling in my head.

But the guy that inspires me the most on the site all together is DaveB. Dave put together this site on the entusiast side of the street. Anyone who loves detailng vehicles that much to create a website/howto and a forum is truly inspiring in my book.

From the States:

Mike Phillips - His write-ups always get the message across clearly.

Richard Lin (Octane Guy) - From an enthusiast to a full time pro, his write-ups are always informational.

Rick Nelson (Rickrack) - Before and after shots are unreal--!

Todd Helms - Insane attention to details.

From the UK:

DaveKG - Made invaluable contributions to the online detailing community.

Polished Bliss team - Professionalism.

The 5 I have the most respect for are Accumulator he will try to help anybody Scottwax like above always willing to help. One hell of a detailer to. Rickrack and Rydawg awesome work on paint. Bufferbarry just one great detailer and like the rest always willing to help anybody. :woohoo:

Lots of people here. I'm afraid I'd leave someone out if I made a list. If you do good work and good write-ups, you are on the list. ;)

I just got to thinking about this the other night. And I'm really not sure why it keeps popping back into my head so much. But It seems to me that most of these top shelf guys only detail on the side. Where guys that do this solely as there bread and butter hardly ever get mentioned. (and yes I was mentioned so I'm not including myself) I guess I never understood why someone that only does this as a "Side gig" gets more credibility than someone that does this for their livelyhood. it would seem to me that the full timers would have more knowledge. Probably way off base but it just seems backwards that really only a few of guys mentioned in this entire thread actually detail for a living. to everyone else it's just something to kill a weekend on and make a few extra coins. That was kind of where I was going with this thread (that and to help out a few other guys ;) )

Kevin Brown - He is the nicest and most pleasant person to talk to. He is extremely humble and would not boast about (at least not to my knowledge) the number of years of experience he's had in the field.

Todd Helmes - Also extremely nice and contributes to the community on both message boards and youtube. What happened to him on Autopia anyway? Great Photoshopping skilzz.

DaveKG - I have no idea how he organizes all those pictures he took, but he manages well. I wonder how he could take such nice pictures of cars.

Scottwax - I first encountered this person as a fellow Nissan Maxima owner on maxima.org... love his youtube vids. The only person on the internet with an avatar of himself detailing with shades on :cooleek:

Many others of course that I did not mention.
