Inside Cleaners and Protectors: PB and 303

I just started adding to my interior cleaning stuff. I have PB Natural Look, 303 Protectant, and 303 Cleaner (thanks, Dwayne and PAC !).

My car is a 2004 Honda Accord. I have the plastic/vynl dash (who doesn't? :) ) and cloth seats (black). I'm thinking either the PB NL or Protectorate to protect the black vinyl from the sun.

My folks are getting a new Camry or Accord soon.....it'll have leather seats (not sure what kind of leather) and a better dash than mine (wood? leather? not sure)....if anybody here has or has worked on a 2005 Camry or 2005 Accord, I would appreciate knowing which products to use on what.
 
My mom has a new Camry (2005) with the leather seats. I have been using Adam's Leather Conditioner. It seems to make the seats more supple/soft. On the interior vinyl I have used Adam's VRT with good results. It leaves a nice matte finish with little to no dust attraction.

How about PB NL and the 303's on leather seats? Not concerned with "best results" so much as not ruining a new car!!
 
I have never used PB's NL. I would not use 303 on leather, but that's a personal preference I guess. There was a recent thread about the use of 303 on leather - a thread that sparked some debate on what to use on different types of leather. I tend to side with the fact that if it's a leather covered seat, I will use a leather cleaner and/or conditioner on it. It may be a little "old school," but so far it gives me pretty good results. I guess it all depends, but I would use something designated for leather use if you're in doubt.

The leather in the Camry reacted in a favorable way to the Adam's leather conditioner - and I'm sure it would with other leather cleaners, that's just the one I had on hand. I don't know 100% if it's coated, finished, unfinishe, etc. leather due to the fact that I haven't taken the time to research it. So, in that respect I can't tell you what would be scientifically correct to use. I just use what works for me - and on leather, that seems to be leather cleaning/conditioning products.
 
Thanks a bunch Jared...you know what? This 303 cleaner is apparently supposed to be diluted....I think you can't use it straight out of the bottle....everything else I've purchased for interior/exterior cleaning has been OK right from the jar/bottle. I see I'm supposed to dilute it from 10:1 to 30:1......I hate having to mix my own, but I have some little spritz bottles, guess I can whip up a batch if I can find some old measuring cupts !!! :D
 
2 QUESTIONS:

(1) Do you guys use MF towels to apply 303 protectant? For that matter, is it OK to use a MF towel to apply ANYYTHING to clean interiors -- after all, we normally use these things to REMOVE residue and clean, do we want to use it to apply? I guess I'm wondering if the MF is spreading the stuff I spray around -- or absoring too much of it. If a MF isn't good, then go regular cloth or paper towels?

(2) The wheel that I gave a few spriztzes of 303 feels "slippery." I should have gripped it before I applied so I'd remember how it felt dirty and without the 303, but now it feels "plasticky." Maybe I'm imagining this (the car is a 2004 Honda Civic and I'm sure the wheel is vynl or plastic or a combo) or maybe it's just getting rid of the dirt and hand sweat, but it sure felt a lot less "grippy." Maybe once my hands have been on it again for a while it'll feel normal -- anybody else experience this with 303 or is it my imagination?. I really didn't drown the wheel in the stuff, just spritzed the MF towel a few times and then wrapped it around the wheel a few times.
 
1. Sometimes an MF... sometimes an applicator, with the excess wiped with an MF. Depends on the product?

2. 303 can be a little slippery. For me, NL is less slippery. Meguiar's new Interior Quik Detailer is also less slippery.
 
Pinnacle Leather Cleaner & Conditioner is IMO one of the best leather products, hands down. Very easy to use, does a good job cleaning, smells like leather, and leaves a very nice, soft, supple finish that is not slippery or greasy.
