Input on Tire Dressing

Whats the "best" tire dressing, not necessarily the most shine but the best overall look vs durablilty.

O and on a side note what is a LSP

Depends on what look you are going for. Glossy or Matte?

LSP is Last Step Product which means a wax or sealer.

As far as you the best tire dressing ... that is very subjective. As somebody else on this forum once put it that's like asking "what's the best flavor of ice-cream?".

Use the search function, but ultimately I would recommend trying them yourself until you find what you like best.

Personally, I like PB's Bold N Bright due to it's ease of use. Not very durable though.

For me, from what I've tried, I'd have to say it's Armor All Low Gloss. It's really cheap, doesn't look bad and lasts as long as I need it to. I usually wash my car about once (twice?) a week so durability isn't a big thing.

That being said I'd like to try some Adam's VRT.

For me it is Meguiar's Hot Shine spray. Used this since it came out. Never lets you down. Spray and walk away.

Thanks for the link! I needed one like that I keep on getting meguires products all confused :hairpull

But as for the tire dressing I seem to remeber seeing a product (cant recall the name) where if you apply it once its mate, twice nice shene, three times its a gloss finish.

But personally I like a nice shine but not really a high gloss.

i use armor all tire foam (just spray let it sit for about 5-10 minutes and then spread it around evenly), and then add a coat of fx tire shine on top... :2thumbs:

We have been using Chemical Guys Extreme V.R.P. Dressing with good results. 1 coat leaves a very slight gloss/matte look. A second app yields a very nice "wet/glossy" look while being dry to the touch.

I recommend 303 and Four star Bazooka often. The Bazooka is a glossy look though.

I got a Megs kit for xmas from my fiancee, and that was included, so far I love it! It seems pretty durable, decent shine without being too shiny. Application was so easy too. :)

It's the aerosol one right?

I find the aerosol applications to be the easiest yet. Regardless of how careful I am with a gel I always get some on the outer edge treads of the tire and it ends up on the inner part of the wheel well. It's not so bad that it gets on the body panels but I still don't like that.

I like the NXT tire shine.

Meg's All Season Dressing is durable and has a nice gloss. The hot shine tire spray is amazin but it doesnt last long. And HyperDressing is so versatile as is the ASD. :)

Personally, I've always liked Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel (the original version - not the newer High Gloss version) for my own car and Stoner's More Shine Less Time For Tires (aerosol - very fast application) when I need to get a car done quickly.

Stoner's More Shine Less time is a good aerosol. Plus they just reformulated it and it last even longer!

FWIW I've got two gallons of Grape Tire Dressing from Topoftheline, If you add two coats to the tire it is pretty glossy, but one coat is about the perfect look for me.

I have to agree with waxnshine on this one. I got some Endurance at Big Lots and really like it! I dilute it 1:1 which makes it less gelly and doesn't cling to the rims as much. I use the aerosol Hot Shine for wheel wells though......good stuff!!

For longevity..Griots Waterproof Dressing..last longer that anything I have ever used.

TOL's Grape dressing is great for fender wells. Close to Griots Undercarriage Spray at a fraction of the cost.

Armor All. Original shine version. Moderate gloss, 2-3 weeks of good appearnce if it is dry or only rains a couple times.

Here ya go, waxnshine, no longer worthless without pics. ;)

Armor All on tires and in fenderwells in all these pics.
