I'll be doing a more complete review over the weekend but wanted to pass along my initial impressions of Blackfire Interior Cleaner, Interior Protectant and Leather Conditioner. If you want to read the full review, stop now and wait.
I knew you couldn't.
Having all of the new Blackfire products is really gnawing at me and had to try something today - especially after glen e's pics.
The interior of my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT is up for cleaning and dressing. I'd done a complete cleaning a couple of months ago and had been wiping down with Megs QID every week or two since. It still looked very clean and, for this thread, I only did the front of the car saving the back for the weekend write up.
Unfortunately, black interior + night = no interior pics.
First up was Blackfire Interior Cleaner. Get a load of these pics:
MF Before
MF After
The pics are a bit misleading because the flash washed out the center of the MF, but if you look at the edges, the entire face of the MF looked like that. And that was just the driver's side (door, steering wheel, dash & seat). And this was from a "clean" car!
It left a perfectly matte finish and felt clean - all tackiness gone. I was very pleased.
I then used Blackfire Leather Conditioner on all of the non-perforated leather. It goes on smooth and, after a couple of minutes of dwelling, left a beautiful satin finish and soft feel.
The out came Blackfire Interior Protectant for the perforated leather, vinyl and plastic. I first did the perforated leather on the seats and allowed it to soak while I dressed the doors (instructions say to allow to dwell for several minutes before wiping off excess). After wiping down, the gloss match was spot on and the seats looked and felt great.
On the vinyl and plastic, it went on fairly glossy (being a matte fan, this worried me) but, 30 sec later the gloss died down and a wipe of a MF later and it was perfect.
I'll know more this weekend but looking great so far. Stay tuned.
