Just a regular guy
This was my first customer application of Zaino (I have been experimenting on my own cars for about a week) since making the switch from primarly Meguiars' products. So far I am very very pleased at the products and blow away by ZPC.
Process
Wash with Meg's NXT
Clayed with Meg's Blue with Meg's Last Touch
Tires cleaned with Meg's All Wheel Cleaner
Z-AIO on the rims and plastic work (this stuff is amazing and leaves plastic glossy)
Menzerna IP @ 1500 rpms with a Meg's polishing pad, whole car
Zaino ZPC Fusion via PC with a Meg's polishing pad
2 x's Z'fxed Z5pro, wiped with Z6 between coats
Z8 Grand Final final wipe
Z16 on tires
Meg's Window cleaner on windowns
Meg's NXT All Metal Polysh on exhaust
Okay some before pictures... The paint was reflective but a little dull
After washing and drying I pulled the car in my garage and clayed with Meg's Blue Clay. The paint was in pretty good shape as far as contaminents. Then I pulled the car back outside to examine the defects. There where some moderate holograms and some pretty good swirling. The photos do not do a good job of showing just how severe the swirling was in some places.
Here you can see some of the hologramming and defects on roof...
Here is the defects and swirling using the flash of my camera (the xenon light wasn't really doing a good job of picking up the swirling on this paint color) on the passenger side fender.
After one pass of Menzerna IP on the rotary and Zaino Fusion on the PC... I think this will work.
Here is a working reflection shot after the first coat of Z5pro
After the second coat of Z5pro, and the final wipe with Z8 Grand Finale. I think this picture demonstrates how wet the paint has become.
Then I pulled it outside and took some pictures and checked my work in the sun light. The surface was 95 percent defect free, wet, and reflective.
