Infinit FX35 detail - Menz'd and FK'ed up!

I spent a few hours this weekend applying two coats of FK1 Pink Wax/FX-100/425 on top of a Menzerna FMJ/HGAS LSP on my Diamond Graphite FX35 AWD. Check out the pics. It's a lot more glossy than either the FMJ > HGAS or FMJ > FX-100 > 425 combos I did earlier.

In summary, my final detailing solution is...



Menz: FPII (polish) > FTG (glaze) > FMJ x2 (sealant) > HGAS x2 (booster)

FK1: 2685 Pink Wax x2 (carnauba) > FX-100 x2 (QD) > 425 x2 (QD)



Other stuff:

PB Wheel Sealant for chromies

Black Magic Titanium Tire Wet gel for tire dressing

Eagle 1 Glass cleaner

Zaino Z-14 Plastic Magic Cleaner & Polish

303 Aerospace Protectant

Thanks! Check my sig out! The basic look is stock though except for the front bumper grille, Magnaflow SS tips, pinstriping, and G2 gold caliper paint. :)
 
awesome! another fx35 with a chrome longhorn on it. i ended up sticking mine on my rear 3/4 window. haha.

Heh. Looks like we're going in opposite directions. I'm from CA and had to move to TX! :)

... forgot to mention, as a former zaino zombie- (found MenZ) I've been lovin' FK1 - learned alot about it Here :bigups and they have a nice forum too ---> http://www.fk1usa.com/forum.htm ... FX-100 looks better on an FX! :nana:

Sure it might be a little overkill but the nice thing about Menz and FK1 is that they both are easy to apply and the products cure real fast. I'm happy with it. :)

Have any closeups of the calipers? If my testor gold model paint doesn't work i'll get the g2 kit. Just wondering how it looks. You happy with the color?

Yeah I'm pretty happy with them. Not as blingy as red and from far away it looks like I have the stock 350z or G35 Brembos.:chuckle: One of these days I may paint them glossy silver or black (using G2 paint of course).

Decided to skip the wash this week and do the FK1 "Express Detail" package of 146 > FX-100 > 425. The FX-100 and 425 have been covered elsewhere in this forum so here's a summary of 146 since it's my first time...



Finish Restorer Poly Wipe Spray Detailer - Anti-Static



146 Poly Wipe is the perfect spray detailer where the removal of light surface accumulation is needed. Blended from highly reflective Premium Polymer Resins, Anti-Corrosive Agents, UV Inhibitors, Mild Cleaners and Patented Anti-Static Agents 146 gently removes smudges, light soil, oxidation, hard water spots, bug splatter and other light contaminates while creating a winning high gloss finish with lasting protection and reduced dust attraction. Eliminates the need for constant washing. Excellent for use on paint, chrome, gel coat, fiberglass and Plexiglas.

As usual with the FK1 products, everything wiped on and off with ease. Did everything in around 30 minutes. Results are excellent and my dope Pink Wax gloss/depth have been preserved plus I now have added slickness. Am impressed with 146 as well. Beats the hell out of washing every week...:cool:
