Increased longevity???

I have heard contradicting ideas, so I was hoping to get some answers....

Does a Carnauba topper (ie S100 or Natty's) over a sealant (in my case Zaino) significantly extend the durability/longevity of the sealant?
In my way of thinking, the wax topper would protect the sealant from typical wear and tear (driving, washing, rain, etc...) and thus if the topper was applied every 3-4 weeks or so, the sealant should last much much longer. Is that correct? If it is correct, how much longer would you guess the sealant to last? Thanks!

SpaceAge,

Well, to some extent, that is true. With products like S100, or Natty's which are low in solvents/cleaners, you won't be removing much of the Zaino underneath. Therefore, additional coats will probably protect the Z. However, after a couple of coats of the carnauba's, you won't notice the affect of the "Z" anyhow, as the carnauba's will take over the appearance. In addition, if you are going to apply a carnauba every 3 to 4 weeks.......... do you really need the "Z" there for durability in the first place?

Also, once you start applying the carnauba's, you will need to strip everthing if you want to go back to the "Z".

:yeah carnauba toppers on sealants are really more for looks rather than durability, since sealants last longer and the carnauba would need to be refreshed with either another coat or a carnauba QD.
