in your opinion, is it worth getting a yellow car detailed?

I have a yellow which I have scheduled at a local detail shop tomorrow. They polish it with a buffer and then wax. This is suppose to take care of the swirls and minor scratches. I am wondering since you really can't see the swirls that much, if it is really worth my money? I have never had my car buffed so I don't know what to expect. Thanks in advance.

IMHO yes it is. but i would cancel your apointment and head down to the regioal forums and check out some of the guys there.

See if you can get a consultation or two. Figure out what you are wanting and what is realistic,.

exactly ^^^^

also keep in mind you get what you pay for. what are you planning on giving this local shop you have an appt with? it would be wise to get it looked at first.

I would cancel the appointment, I think most people would agree the majority of non-autopian detailer's cause more harm than good. A LOT of people end up with rotary holograms from taking their cars to get detailed or from having them getting a "complementary" detail after being painted. The detailer usually uses a glaze to cover up the holograms so that it will look awesome when you first get it, but over time the glaze wears off and shows how bad the shop really is.

I dunno g35, i think that car needs some.

THis shop has been in our area for 9 years and was voted "Harrisburg's best" in 2005. I know they are Maguiars certified, if that means anything.

No matter what colour the car is, it will always look better if its been properly detailed... so its definitely worth having the car detailed without a doubt. I know on lighter colours the swirls are less obvious but they are still there and robbing the finish of the ultimate look. Whether the place you have your car booked in will deliver excellent results or not, I cannot comment.
