Seriously though, I have cars that I want to work on and some people have asked, but it's just too cold and crappy outside.

Midwest = teh loss

Hell yeah, ive spent over $500 this winter and am DYING to get out there and get some work done. Im booked through april and may already lol

I feel your pain, gonna be around 10 as a high tomorrow in Buffalo, NY. Luckily I did my first detail of the year over the weekend when it was low 30's outside.

This weekend it looks to be in the mid to upper 40's, so I might have an opportunity provided that the sun is out...

Either way, :hairpull

Can't wait either!! It's hopefully going to be near 50 this weekend here in Chicago and if so, I don't know if I can wait that long!

The thought of spending 10 hours bringing my car back to life from all the salt and dirt makes my mouth water not to mention my income for the year begins :). Also just spent another 300 bucks on more supplies to stock up for the start of a new season.

Every once in a while it's nice to be reminded how good it is to live in California where we can detail all year round! Of course, one day, we WILL fall into the ocean......:LOLOL

:har: Hahahaha! ....... The thought of all-year-round detailing makes me hate Chicago

Lets just hope it doesn't rain OneQuick :( I've got 40% chance here in Geneva-Saturday will be nice though!

I'll hopefully have my supplies in by Thursday or Friday so can't wait

Just be careful on aluminum:

Aluminum - Is it safe to use Simple Green on aluminum?

Simple Green products have been successfully and safely used on aircraft, automotive, industrial and consumer aluminum items for over 20 years. However, caution and common sense must be used: Aluminum is a soft metal that easily corrodes with unprotected exposure to water. The aqueous-base and alkalinity of Simple Green or Crystal Simple Green can accelerate the corrosion process. Therefore, contact times of All-Purpose Simple Green and Crystal Simple Green with unprotected or unpainted aluminum surfaces should be kept as brief as the job will allow - never for more than 10 minutes. Large cleaning jobs should be conducted in smaller-area stages to achieve lower contact time. Rinsing after cleaning should always be extremely thorough - paying special attention to flush out cracks and crevices to remove all Simple Green/Crystal Simple Green residues. Unfinished, uncoated or unpainted aluminum cleaned with Simple Green products should receive some sort of protectant after cleaning to prevent oxidation.
