I'm sticking with the foam applicator

Yesterday as I was washing my car I decided to try applying Natty's Red by hand (something different)ala Victoria Wax.For me it was a wrong move. Although I enjoyed putting VW on by hand this technique using Red didn't get it. First of all the waxes are different textures with Natty's being hard and VW being soft and creamy.After several dips of my fingers in the Red and putting it on my car I went and got a yellow foam applicator and finished the job.
Once the wax was removed I had a bright,deep, wet green car and a curiosity satisfied.
RED ROCKS(just not with my barehand/s)!

Interesting I have never even thought about applying by hand but if I do I will remember your results.
I have used a MF towel but prefer the foam applicator.
 
I too have tried applying some other pastes using my fingertips, and I just feel that it gives me an uneven application with heavy spots and some missed areas. I'll stick to foam too. I know some paste wax mfgs suggest the hand application, but I just can't learn "the art" of doing so.

silly boy :rolleyes: directions say to "apply with a slightly damp foam, microfiber, or PVA applicator" :notme:
 
Gentleman,gentleman I know what the instructions say and I do know how to read. I was just messing around.:passout:
 
Most waxes are a one way not the other type application. The waxes that require you to use your hands talk about the heat of the hand activating the enzymes to actually make the product a wax. I for one don't understand all of this. I did happen to notice with Meghan's announcement of Dodo Juice being available at AG that DJ's instructions said you could apply it using either method. That made me second guess what I thought I understood about the enzyme thing as described with other products like Victoria Wax or higher end Zymol products. Maybe someone can further enlighten me on the merits of this practice. I have tried the hand application using Victoria's products and liked the end result but decided this just wasn't for me. I don't like the feeling on my hands that seemed to last for a couple of days (yes, I wash my hands). I one of the strange ones that likes to apply non liquid waxes with my PC. I have a damaged shoulder and using the PC is much easier on me than using the traditional elbow grease method, that would include doing it bare handed.
