I'm sensing a new wax test coming on...

I just made an impromptu visit to my in-laws in Michigan and when I got there, I discovered that I had a package waiting for me, which included Wolfgang Fuzion Estate Wax and Pinnacle Souveran. (I won't get into how I came into these products other than to say, once again someone in the detailing community sent these to me out of pure class and kindness). Add to this, I already have Midnight Sun, Wet Diamond, P21's, Z2Pro, Z5Pro and S100, so I think i feel like the need has arisen for a new wax test, but I have a few problems...

The winter is fast approaching in Soviet Canuckistan, so I don't know if I will really have a chance to do a test. If I run out of good weather, it may have to wait until spring.

If I get a good weekend and I'm not working, I'll give it a go. So, if I do the test, should I limit it to Carnauba's or should I include sealants? Which would you be most interesting in seeing go head to head?

I only have one dark car at my disposal (a black Audi A8), but which car should I use: My White Lexus, silver CR-V, Silver Lexus, Black Audi or White Honda Civic SS Paint?

I would wait for a nice spring weekend where you won't feel like you are being rushed. Most definitely go with the black Audi A8.

Maybe you can work it so you do both the black Audi and your Lexus. But then again single stage white paint would be interesting too. :w00t:

Definitely go with the black. My suggestions: Souveran, Fuzion, Wet Diamond, and P21S. Or you might simply pit two carnaubas against each other at a time, applying one to one-half of the car and another to the other half, in which case I'd like to see Souveran go up against Wet Diamond.

Honestly I think this is a great contest with a cool twist. Given your brutal honesty it would make for a fun read. If you want to do 8 or even more give Jack a call at the office.

We did our 'Cash for Wax' trade in and got every wax that you have mentioned and more traded for Blackfire. You could probably do a whole test with a bunch of waxes based. Let me know if I can help.

The P21S and S100 are the exact same wax. Unless he is talking about P21S 100%.
