Im currently getting my car ready to be on display in a vendor booth at an outdoor car show this upcoming weekend.
My current line-up consists of:
Meguiars Gold Class Wax
Meguiars Swirl Remover 2.0
Meguiars Show Car Glaze
Claymagic Claybar
I also have the following, most of them Ive found useless or for specific things:
Meguiars Paint Cleaner Wax (Maroon Bottle)
Meguiars Deep Crystal Polish (Maroon Bottle)
Meguiars Caranbu Wax (Maroon Bottle)
Meguiars Scratch X
Meguiars High Endurance Tire Shine
Meguiars Rubber and Vynil Cleaner
Turtle Wax Polishing Compound
Turtle Wax Heavy Duty Compound
Turtle Wax Super Shell
Various "Quick Detailing" Sprays
Simple Green
Oh blah, heres a picture:
My main problem is I have alot of spider webbing scratches all over my car that are visable only at certain angles of light. Unfortunatly my only equipment are my hands and some 3000rpm orbitical buffer (yea the $40 kind).
Today I started prepping my car for the show. I washed it with Dawn and Vinegar to strip all the old wax, then claybarred the entire car. Then I used a final wash of Meguiars car soap. It was getting late but I wanted to test my new toys (Swirl Remover and Glaze) so I did some test runs on my hood. This is in a garage with average temp of 60 degrees. The results seemed nill. I applied both with Meguiars pads (yellow ones) and removed them with turtle wax polishing rags (see them in the picture if you look hard enough). I let either product sit for about 1 minute then wipe. They smeered alot which leaves me to beleive I didn't let them try long enough. Recommendations?
