I'm new and this is what I'm thinking

Hi boys and girls,

I'm brand new the the DA game and could use some suggestions. I own a burgundy metallic 1998 Grand Cherokee. Although the Jeep is beautiful for it's age the paint needs major correction. What are your thoughts and /or suggestions on the stuff below as far as being correct to do the job. I'm shooting for the gallon sizes because these products are unavailable as I live in Mazatlan, Mexico.

This looks to be a great site and I have already learned so much just cruising around. I look forward to your expert feedback.

It all looks good.

In my opinion, if you are getting a DA, go for the 5" pads instead of the 6" pads. You will also need the 4-3/8" Flex backing plate.

If you are new to machine polishing, the M105 has a bit of a learning curve. Try to find a panel at a junk yard that you can practice on, before you try it on a car you care about.

You will also need a good sealant. I would suggest BFWD.

Thanks for the input. I originally had the 4 3/8" back plate on my purchase list but removed it because Maguire's doesn't make smaller pads and I have no idea what Lake Country pads to order that correspond to the Maguier's pads. If you can suggest the correct smaller pads that at least somewhat correspond the the Maguire's pads I would appreciate it. Also if you would take a look at the pads I chose that come with the flex and let me know if they are correct or should be changed. I would like to place my order with properautocare tomorrow the 26th. Thanks again.
 
Since the pad size is an issue, how about going with the Lake Country pads instead of the Meg's? You will find that you'll REALLY be wanting a set of the 4 inch pads when you get to the tricky areas.

Also, don't forget P21S Total Auto Wash or something similar...

I would get a bunch of the 5.5" LC Hydrotech thin pads.

The cyan is your cutting pad, the tangerine is your polishing pad and the crimson is your finishing pad.

Personally, I have no problems with your products, but wonder why the huge quanities? That much #105/#205/#34 would last me for 10 years. I realize you're in Mexico, but just the shipping charges would break me. And the shelf life may compromise the products before you use them up. Personally, I'd opt for smaller containers. The BFWD is AWESOME!
