I'm gonna need some help with this stuff...

That'll buff right out!
So, I was able to 'score' ALOT of equipment and supplies from a young fellow who THOUGHT he was going to be a mobile detailer...



I know how to use the Century 400 Sensei, the Fein rotary, the PC da, and the Cyclo.



I understand most of the pads and brushes...



But I have this large stash of (liters) Z1 products, (horrible support!), and I have no idea of how, or where, to use them...



I have Quarts(!) of Vanilla Mouse! I know many pros like the product - in what envionmnent? How does this stuff fit iin my Klasse environment?



I also know nothing about Poorboy's EX...



I'm not currently online at the shop - I'll get you details tomorrow...

VM and Klasse aren't going to work together. You probably cant tell through the quart bottle but VM is rather oily and the surface will need to be cleaned after you use it. It does seem to have some abrasive qualities but it's very light. As far as the 1Z stuff goes, I have it but haven't used it.

Well, to help you out, I hear VM is good on plastic, chrome, etc. I'd use it as an all around polish for everything but paint. Might work good for wheels too.
 
Let us know what 1z products you have. If you have the typical three polishes: Ultra, Paint and Metallic polish they could be used prior to Klasse AIO. The AIO should remove the waxes in them but I always use the IPA solution beforehand any way for total peace of mind.

You mean to tell me that someone tried to open a detailing business and it failed? Unthinkable.......:D

Or just put a wax over the waxes/fillers in the 1Z stuff. For customer cars, which will a) get marred again anyhow and b) which have to be good enough for the customers (and not necessarily good enough for an "Autopian") you might find that 1Z polishes topped with wax are both time-efficient and convenient.



When using 1Z polishes by rotary, use low speeds (below 1K) lest the abrasives break down too fast (seems counterintuitive but the folks at 1Z were adamant about it when I asked them). Then speed it up if you want to "burnish" the finish some more. Since the 1z stuff contains wax, don't work it until it "powders", just until it's almost dry.

EX is a sealant with carnuba in it . It looks good on dark colors , easy to apply easy off . Its on the thick side , I apply it by hand with a MF pad let it setup (depending on the weather)until it hazes. 15-20 mins

Yes, that's what I've got. Might be a while b/4 I discover the benefits of 1Z...



I think I have found a place for the Poorboys EX...



I also 'scored' 3 gallons of Dupont Teflon Fabric sealant...

6 cans of Automagic window cleaner, an AutoMagic Tornado device (sorta cool), a gallon of Lexol leather conditioner, scads of pads, and more...



Oh yeah, an ozone generater supposedly valued at $800.



Whadaya think?

Hey Jim,



I recently had to chance to mess around with 1z PP via rotary for the first time in a while. Nice, because there is no sling ( this was on a lower quarter panel with a 4" spot pad) and the low speeds keep it user frinedsly. And, as every time I've used 1z, upon the IPA wipedown, I just about never uncover any marring the wax would've covered. It really does do a good job of truly removing :up

I think you'll really like the 1Z, especially the Metallic. It has enough wax in it to last a couple of months and leaves a really nice finish.



Let us know how you think it matches up to the pro stuff you are currently using.

:werd: There is so much more to the business than knowing how to turn on a PC or Makita.

The consumer version (rectangle cans) has waxes and carnuba in it, but the pro 1liter round cans does not have carnuba in it and is a touch more aggresive.
 
Yeah, I was wondering which MP we're talking about here.



That ozone machine could come in handy. Sometimes they really do work wonders on stinky interiors.
 
1Z MP and Glanz Wax are terrific on metallic paints. Vanilla Moose, like already pointed out won't work with Klasse SG but you can use it to lightly polish the paint prior to AIO since it is slightly more aggressive. It is also great on glass, plastic, rubber trim, chrome, etc.

In the morning I have a NEW (950 miles) BLACK Viper SRT10.

'Dealer installed' swirls... I'm gonna try 1Z (mild), 1st with the PC and a finishing pad... I'll see what happens.



I know what I'd do with my normal arsenal, this is not a 'challenge', just a chance to evaluate a Liter of FREE product...



Did I mention the the Tornado? Its pretty cool...

If you're talking liter cans you must have the "pro" version of MP. Good stuff, but maybe a little mild for what you're planning. Great choice if it *is* strong enough though. Consider using it with a polishing pad, unless you're using the rotary (I'd probably use a polishing pad even then). With finishing pads on the Cyclo it only seems to "burnish" an already 99% finish.



Yeah, what about some info on the Toro :D
 
The (3) 1Z products are in the large, round, 1 liter cans. Is it just me, or is this the singular worst way to package a polish... very awkward to dispense.
