Im back....

~Live with Passion!~
Well, these past 12 weeks have probably been the the most demanding and stressful times of my life.

Things have been nothing short of pandamonium, in every respect imaginable.

Let me break it down for my fellow DC members:

1) My grandmother was diagnosed with Guillean Borre syndrom late July, a catastrophic and rare sickness that she suffered through for almost 6 weeks. Tragically, her condition declined quiet rapidly and she passed away on September 16th, it was a huge emotional blow to the entire family (especially my dad and grandpa).

2) Hurricane Frances hit us less than 1 week after my arrival back from NY and just when i was beginning working again and resuming college classes. Chaos ensued throughout S. FL with people panicking, shortages of food, water gasoline and people who put up hurricane shutters. Stayed up for 4 days straight prepping the house and bashing my way into gas/store lines to get supplies. All s. floridians can feel my pain on this one, i applaud everyone for sticking together and helping each other out during that time of crisis.
Anyhow....During/after Frances, we were left without power for 9 days, on the 6th day i packed up and left to Miami to stay with some close family.

3) Not 3 weeks have passed since Frances, and we hear that Hurricane Jeanne is headed almost the exact same route. Deja vue? Very much so....craziness hits people again, and we begin to prepare for round 2.
Unfortunately, this Hurricane is a fast moving Category 3 with sustained winds of 90-110mph....with many homes/utilities and business weakened by Frances, the outlook wasnt good. We got bashed to say the least, our whole outer patio is now gone with the wind (pun intended), and the power grids of S. Fl were pretty much obliterated. Being further from the coast than most, we faired significantly better than others....ill have to post some pics for you guys to understand the power of wind too.

After Jeanne's wrath, 1.7 million floridians had no power, many of whom which were in desperate times from the previous hurricane.

Again, after the storm we pack ALL of our precious belongings and head down to some family in Miami until power was resumed.

5) Weather services say that Hurricane season isnt over till November 30th, so there is a large possibility that we may have more action in the futurem, not something we'd like to think about now either, LOL.

Im just a lil exhausted....

Anyhow, things seemt o be getting back to normal, and regular routine has arrived in my life again.

I wish you all the best, and i look forward to posting more actively on DC again!
