If you had to use one product line....??

Well, I just placed an order for a bunch of Optimum. I'll still use AW but I'm trying to use up or trade out every other product I have. Recently, a wise man told me that he sticks to one line and one only - everything works well together and no cross contamination on pads. I read and read and yeah, Zaino, Menzerna, 4 Star and others are all highly rated and I've never tried them - but, I'm a simple guy, I like the simplicity of Optimum's line, making polish and compounds pad dependant for cut/polish takes out a whole set of product varibles. Frankly, some lines have so many products to choose from I get a headache trying to figure out what to use. Maybe sticking to one product and getting to learn it completely may make me a better detailer. Thanks to Brandon1 for trading me some Optimum pruducts to try.

Optimum is a great product line.

However, it's really not that much of a hassle to use Optimum or Menzerna polishes and JW/Zaino/DG for everthing else. Granted - I guess that makes things a little more complicated than using one product line for all your detailing needs, but not much.

I think what you will find is that it is important to find paint products that "play well together" and it's true that that task is made much simpler by using one product line. However, when it comes to wheel cleaners, tire dressings, all purpose cleaners, glass cleaners, carpet cleaners, etc. very few people use one and only one product line for all their detailing needs.

I personally use JW for most detailing purposes but also use Meg's, Zaino, DG, Stoner and other product lines for specific purposes.

Milestones - I agree! I use Stoners for glass, EO for tires/wheel cleaning, DG or Stoners for tire dressing and Lexol for leather/vinyl. I should have pointed out that I was just talking paint care - sorry. I also ordered some Edge 8" foam pads, can't wait to try them out, never could get those 6.5" LC's centered as good as I wanted. And I ordered a Scmitt, yeah - spent the money I made on Saturday.

I would use Duragloss for the paint and car care products..never had a bad product yet...and Menzerna for the polish....

Diesel,

You would choose Zaino even though they dont have much of a polish? That is what keeps me from picking some of the stuff like JW.

i have used zpc before and it was a ok polish i like menz better but it still will leave a nice finish. everything else i have used from zaino impresses the heck out of me and i have tried ALOT

o yeah GO SOX :-)

Well, I decided to order some Opti-Seal...I'll remove my DG105 and replace with OPS and Poli-Seal. I think the combo will look great!

That would really be the icing on the cake wouldn't it..........?

Sal, please add another product to your lineup......

An agressive compound polish, a step up from ZPC. (you've got everything else covered.)

I have no doubt every loyal customer will order a bottle....

Sounds like a market no-brainer..... :2thumbs:

If I had John's skills I could polish just about anything with ZPC and the right pad.

Give me the zaino line-up and a bottle of Presta 1500 and I could get anything done.

I used Four Star UPC and UPP over the weekend and really liked the products. Right now, I would choose the Four Star product line.

But without the Presta would you still choose Zaino? One product line.
