If you had this on hand, what would you do?

I want my car to look the best it has ever looked. Please help.

Today, in the mail, I received the Pinnacle Complete Detailing Wax & Cleaning Kit. It includes the P detail spray, the P clay lube, the P clay, the P wash, P Lotion and a tub of Souveran, et. al.

In my bag of tricks I have ONR, KAIO, 3M FI-II, Z2, Z5, Z8, ZAIO, ZPC, Z6, Z8, PB SSR1, SSR2.5.

For my past details(every 3 weeks,) I have be applying ZAIO, Z5 + ZFX x2, and then every other detail I top it with a coat of NB 1/2 + 1/2 NXT.

My problem is this- on my black BMW, I still have water spots that require a yellow pad on a PC and a compound more aggressive that I think should be needed. With the Z and LSP protection, I imagine that I should never get water spots that should not wash away. Why do I have water spots???

My plan of attack this weekend is this- this is where I need you guy's input.

Foam with DG wash

Rinse

Wash with mitt or grout sponge (still hesitant about the sponge)

Clay - should I use the ONR lube or the Pinnacle? Z clay or Pinnacle clay?

Wash again.

Dry.

Rotary or PC to remove the water spots, likely the yellow pad PC and 3M.

Rotary to remove some marring on the trunk. (wife + briefcase + trunk = possible divorce)

KAIO, ZAIO, or P Lotion - no ideas?

Z2, or Z5 + or - ZFX? x???

Cure overnight.

Then PS or my favorite NB + NXT or another coat of Z2 or Z5. How many coats, whats the cure/dry time with PS?

Please help, I have bought too much stuff and now I'm second guessing what will give me the best look. I also want to keep from having to buff water spots weekly. This is my biggest concern.

Thanks in advance for any input / suggestions. All advise repaid with beer - if your in the Memphis area and my wife lets me out of the house.

Wow you are getting waterspots you can't get off without buffing weekly? Are you parking under a tree or something?

I can't shake the water spots. The car is garaged.

After every wash, I pull into the florescent lights of the garage and there they are - the dreaded spots. I pull out the buffer and then they are gone, only to reappear next week. Even after 2 coats of Z5 +zfx.

Please help. I'm going to have a nutty.

Sounds like you are just temporarily hiding them. You may need to go as far as wet sanding to fully remove them if they are actually etched into the paint. I would start out by just going to a more aggressive polish first. Make sure you do a 50/50 wipe after you are done polishing to ensure they are actually removed.

if you are washing with ONR i find that sometimes it doesnt clean all the water spots (if theyre not etched) try doing a real wash and see if that helps

If there remaining with frequent polishing, theyre etched into the clear. You may be better off with frequent glazing instead. Save the clear coat.....

PM member ebpcivic and have him properly remove the water spots and then you can keep the car up. You can search for his work here. It's phenomenal!

how often do you go over the car with the ssr's? by the way let us know if you like the sourveran better than the nattys. i'm trying to decide if i should pull the trigger on some ps.
