If money wasn't a limitation,what exterior- interior mods would you make to your car?

If money wasn't a limitation (and someone else was paying) what cool car interior

and / or exterior detailing mods - upgrades would you like having done to the current car you drive ? Anything to do with actually replacing the vehicle for something else altogether, is excluded.
 
Nothing I can really think of as far as looks goes. I think if money wasn't a limitation I would go with some heavy engine and suspension mods....since you won't let me use the money to get something else! :lol
 
TRD lowering springs + shocks, supercharger, clear bra (that counts, right? :D), Pioneer AVIC, wetokele seat covers.
 
I actually fully plan on doing all these mods, college is making it hard to save money though. I want everything on/in my car to be able to pass for OEM, but I still want it to look different from every other focus on the road.



Exterior
  • SVT front bumper

    '06 Street Appearance rear bumper & diffuser

    SVT Big Brake Kit (Bigger brakes look better so this is exterior :D)

Interior
  • Bel STi Driver Radar Detector

    Upgrade the OEM door speakers

    10" Sub w/ amp and a custom enclosure to blend it into the fender well in my trunk(just bass enough for a well rounded sound system, not ridiculous)

    Upgrade my Head-unit

    SVT HVAC controls

    SVT Front and Rear Seats (Blue)

    SVT Leather Door Inserts (Blue)



Basically just take this focus and paint it French Blue :spot
 
If I had the money, I'd to the OEM JDM front end conversion Omnipower full coilovers, repaint in Laguna Blue Pearl from the S2K and a set of gold GT3's. I wouldn't touch the interior. I love my black leather interior. Of course if I had that much money, I'd build the engine and boost it, not exterior stuff.

well since i cant buy a whole new car and money is of NO concern, I would spend money turning my car into an Elise. LOL! that would be a lot of money and probably impossible

Ha! Porsche are bastards they make EVERYTHING a f'ing option. So if you

do it aftermarket its big dollars.

done:

$2,000 on Carrera 5 spokes

$2,000 GT3 Seats

$2,000 on GT3 aero kit and paint

$1,000 on HID lights.



luckily I still have all the factory stuff so I'll stick that back

on when I sell. hopefully get a few nickels selling the upgrades

on Ebay to other mod addicts.
 
I'd run the factory VW navigation system.



I'm already turbocharged, but I'd like to upgrade the system, and run a standalone fueling system. Bigger intercooler, bigger turbo.



Other than that, leave it alone. I love my car.



Oh, maybe some Factory HID projectors. None of that aftermarket crap.

Agreed, it still stumps me the sheer number of people who run HIDs in their stock headlight housings...



Unfortunately for me, there is no such thing as "factory projectors" for HIDs, so I'd go with a good custom retrofit, none of that low quality projector crap from ebay...

yeah i know hondata, it would be my second choice. AEM... i've been down that road several times... i've had my ecu just reset or cut out in the middle of drive, and im not the only one who has experance this. HKS... i know the company but I dont know what honda specific tunable ecu they offer. I'm more familair with the old genrations of honda engines that can use, Neptune, hondata, crome, uberdata, and aem ems. The new version of neptune is looking extremely promising.

I know after obdII there have been problems cracking the ecu, so I dont even know whats out there for the current generations of hondas.
 
So do you not keep up with the K series engine at all?? Not tryin to flame, but Hondata has several programs for the K20.

nope k-series isnt something research right now, i have no problem at all w/ hondata. Though im am an expert w/ my d16y8.
 
D series???? The K motors have to be the best 4 cylinders ever from Honda. They make the B series motors look like econo engines.
 
As much as I love my B18C1, I have to agree. THe K's are incredible platforms. The basic I/H/E and hondata K Pro puts the Type S in low 14's high 13's. No other honda engine has ever taken that well to mods. D's and B's both have their potential too, but nothing like the K.
