If I had a million dollars...

No, I wouldn't buy you a K-car, a nice reliant automobile...

I'd buy this:

I just find these things so amazing. Callaway sure knows how to make beautiful modifications. The intercooler shroud is gorgeous. There's a stock-bodied one they made out there somewhere, that's the one I'd really want.

Just thought I'd post it up in case anyone else ever found them as lovely as I do.

I love the engine and drivetrains in them. However, find them to set a new precedence for putridity on a production performance platform.

:LOLOL at the Barenaked Ladies reference! Great song!

That Saleen 7 in the new issue of Motor Trend looks pretty damn good....

A friend of mine in college used to play that song full blast in his dorm room.

Meaning you don't like the aerobody? I think it's pretty cool, though I'd rather have the sleeper standard-bodied one they made.

Cams, valves and turbos! You just have to love it!

Yup! The only thing it needs is a roof! :)

I can't stand the aero body. Callaway drivetrain in the standard body would be tits.

Were the windows purposely chopped down? Or is that just a show thing and an example pic?

That's what makes it a Speedster. The chopped top and windows. They were much pricier than a regular Callaway or Aerobody. It first was just a "Speedster", a Callaway Twin Turbo with the chopped top. They were like $150k I think, compared to maybe $90k for a loaded up Callaway Twin-Turbo with an aerobody. I believe they made around 11 of those.

Then the "Super Speedster" was sort of the ultimate. Callaway made two of them, the one seen here and one with a LeMans body (and one regular twin-turbo ZR-1). It was a twin-turbo ZR-1 that made around 750hp (vs. 450hp for the Speedster). If I recall right, these were closer to a quarter million. They were each pretty unique. The regular bodied one was the real scorcher, though. With an adjustable boost controller, it could make about 1,100hp on 100 octane gasoline. I'll try to find a picture. I believe it was blue and looks stock except for the wheels and the holes in the hood for the intercooler.

I like it except for the hog nosed intakes on top of the bumper. Just looks kinda stupid to me, but other than that its a gorgeous car.

Oh Yes, very nice. I am lucky enough to have a Dad who had a 1988 Callaway Twin Turbo 420hp. Wow!!! is the only word that can describe. There was not even the slighest hint of turbo lag, and it was so driveable The tourque was insane and it came on early and lasted forever :soscared:

He actually has an 06 Callaway Supernatural being prepped in Old Lyme and it should be ready this week. 490hp with the new 6 speed auto. I can't wait. Not a turbo, but it should really pull hard. Heads, cam, headers, intake manifold, intake, exhaust and tranny software.
