I would totally rock this car...

So after not getting to really see anything at SEMA for the week I was there (no regrets about that either) I have to say that out of all the cars I DID see, this is by far my favorite. I don't know what it is about it, but this is absolutely how I feel the Mustangs should look.

I think it is just a flat satin sort of finish with flat black stripes. I know there isn't anything you can really do for the flat paint, but is there anything you can do for the satin finishes? I wouldn't want a car out there in the elements without some sort of protection from IFO or bird crap or waterspots, etc... Or would this just be something solely for show?

I saw last year that 3M has a wrap that gives factory paint this appearance. I don't know if that is what was on this car (kind of walked by it quick on the way to the booth) but that would work too. Then it is just typical clear bra maintenance on the entire vehicle. I could do that. Wrap the whole car and then use a flat vinyl for the stripe on top. Absolutely a car I would love to have on a poster in my garage. Desktop wallpaper will have to do for now. :)

Looks aggressive. I really like it and I'm not a huge Mustang fan.

Permanon sells a product that is for flat finishes but it says it will keep the shine of a normal finish. I think it would work well for simigloss/satin finishes

I really like the looks of that one! I've been tossing back and forth on the Mercedes flat/satin for my Disco. I just wonder about how it maintains without staining or going glossy with polishing.

ive never been a fan of all the wide body kits and all these big hoods and stuff on em.... just not my taste.

Typically I'm not a fan of them either. I think the flared fenders on the new Legacy, for example, is the biggest turn off ever. This car just really caught my eye. It has such a 'gone in 60 seconds' look to it. I'm just glad Ford finally got it right with this body style. I'm not a fan of the bubble butt of the last couple years, but the 05 and later models really nailed it!

Im not a Mustang guy at all... but I like this one. The satin paint looks great.

In answer to your question, yes. Swissvax makes a system for satin / matte finishes called Opaque.
