I wonder what will happen when...

I see that little dark cloud is going away and hope it stays away from Truth In Detailing. So lets get down to the great way TID is and leave the outside stuff at the other places OK. Remember that this is the Best Forum to be at Period!

I appreciate the post here kevin and would agree Meghan handled it perfectly.

I was never frustrated with you at all, I figured you would be a little different in your first post in conversing with me and like I said I did not know that is your style of poststing, now I know. If I came across brash or chest poking I apologize you got that feeling from me. You can ask several people about me that is just my style of writing and no harm is meant by it. I also do care if people feel that way and they should not, just my style. You will know if I am po'd or really trying to be an ass towards someone. I am sorry we got off on the wrong foot and I am sure you will see I am the nice guy you said you think I am if we ever speak on the phone, just ask the numerous people on the forums I have spoken with.

You are correct in we will never see eye to eye on the pc, but I am sure we can agree on alot of other methods that we both use. We each have each others cell numbers so I am sure at some point will will talk and all will be fine.

I have read posts where people have said, that the PC wasn't designed to be used the way Kevin describes. I find those comments to be very far from the truth. It was my understanding that orbitals were originally designed for the purpose of sanding. When you use the PC as KB describes, you aren't polishing, you are sanding. When your thoroughly cover the surface of a pad with a uniform, non diminishing abrasive, you are essentially turning it into a sheet of sandpaper (the abrasives don't diminish, just like the abraisives on a piece of sand paper). The lubricants in the polish (along with the non diminishing abrasives) serve the same purpose as water does when wetsanding.

To me, you can't make a PC act any more like it was originally intended for than you do by using the KB method.

I have trimmed some of the fat from this thread, trying to steer it slighly back on target, minus the last rebutals from Dana and Kevin. Debates are welcome on this forum and these gentleman in thier discussion with eachother on this forum has been nothing but respectful.

Some other posts, not related to the men above, on this thread came across as disrespectful to mike or ag. To be honest this is a difficult to moderate for me. Regardless of the subject I want to be fair. Why is this tricky? If I delete all posts that have tough questions and challenging opinions then I could be accused of sensoring material and limiting the discusion of our competitors... By the same token if I let every post go then it could look like I am letting a competitor get bashed.
After reading the thread I am proud to see that the discussion of the main topic was respectful and no bashing took place. It really shows the quality of members that makes this a great and growing forum. I'll clean up spelling errors later, I am sorry for them. I typed this from my phone so it's a little rough

Mike Phillips is a stand up guy and a great person, and no posts bashing him will be tolerated here, period.
