I tried my PC

Since my AMINO UV is still not here ( ) **It showed up late afternoon** I used some 3M SMR, IHG, Show Car Wax on the trunk so I can get use to the PC.

ANY suggestion is welcomed!!!

washed the area with dish soap

Mother's clay bar (didn't see dirt at all)

washed again

SMR with white pad (didin't like the results) sp 4 then 5

SMR with yellow pad (little better) 4.5

IHG white pad 4

IHG by hand (just to see - feel so much better using my hands - I guess I am use to doing it by hand)

Wax with gray pad 3

everything was removed by hand

I took lots of pictures after each step.

Anyway it isn't hard on my hands, but it did feel like it wasn't "flash" with the surface - maybe it's just me being nervous.

This is before touching the car

As you ca see, not everything came out - I wish I used FINESSE II to start with, I didn't think my paint was bad enough for it. O well, it was a good experience.

Some thoughts - I think I used too much SMR first and not enough IHG with the PC. Live and learn!

I do have some bird poop damage that didn't come out and waterspots too that I actually didn't notice before, but wasn't concerned with the paint at all so didn't really look that close when I washed the car last time.

Rather than FI-2, I'd recommend moving up to there newer products in the Perfect It III line. Easier product to work with it. FI-2 on a PC can be difficult to work with. FI-2 doesn't breakdown as well or it's quite difficult to get a nice finish with it.

The PI-3 line works much better with a PC.

I wish I knew that before but I can't wait any longer - doing the van tomorrow morning and I guess I just have to sweat it with the F II

I did read some great reviews of the F II, right here, and I think on better car care.com. That is why I went with it.
