I think I'm ready for a detail. Need opinions and answers!!

I got the day off of work tomorrow so I've decided I want to detail tomorrow, so that means I'm going to buy OTC stuff, since I don't want to wait for stuff from online orders.

Is this a good wax to get in store? http://www.autopia.org/reviews/cens...4a0f9556837b66562233cb6&cmd=details&itemid=17

Does this look like a good claybar (and is it in stores)?

And for a polish, would this be a good one (is the polish the same thing as a sealant)?

So, just to make sure again, I would do this (in this order):

1. Wash

2. Clay

3. Wash

4. Dry

5. Apply polish/sealant

6. Apply Wax

Is that correct?

Also, would it be better to apply these by hand or with my orbital? If I do it by hand, do I use different pads to apply each one? Can I wipe off each one with just a microfiber towel?

Thanks guys and I appreciate all of your help! If you agree with these products, I'm going to go to pep boys tomorrow and pick them up!

1- #26 is a decent wax

2- Clay magic is a little hard to work with but can be found OTC. Try to find Mothers or Meguiars.

3- Not sure if you can find #20 OTC. A sealant is not a polish. It is a Last Step Product, like a wax.

Your order is OK. Use a different applicator and towel for each product. If you don't have a PC 7424/7336 do it by hand.

all the stuff you listed is good otc items

polish is used to remove defects in the paint

a sealant is a long lasting protection

what kind of orbital?

yes different pads for each

yea microfiber will work well for removal

if I was in you shoes I would look into ntx

as it is good at filling

heres what I do

1-Good wash

2-dry

3-detar, I like to use STONER TARMANTOR

3-Clay Magic- I've used it for years love the stuff

4-wipe the car down with warm damp MF to remove clay leftovers

5-re-detar to insure all crap comes off

6-depending on paint polish- for you wanting OTC go with a glaze (thats what I did before I used other junk and it turned out fine)

7-Sealant neverused that #20 cant hurt

8-#26 wax (always liked #26)

but this is what I did before I got stuff on-line...

So I wouldn't really need that then if I already have a wax right?

Would this be a good replacement?
