So I went to Home Depot this weekend to buy a tool box to carry my PC. I bought a good sized hand held Red Husky box for $20. Well while I was loading everything in it I started thinking, man this thing would be really bitchin w/ some old school pinstripping. Then I thought, well this thing would be bitchin painted and stripped!. Well then I remembered this 51 ford that a friends shop was painting and started thinking, man I should get this painted. AFter spending 30 minutes trying to drill out a rivet and watching my makita cordless literally smoke I gave up and decide I'll let them deal with it. Well the estimate he gave me is $150 (most will be labor, it'll tkae them an good hour and half to drill out the rivets and prep an prime it. Then I'll spend another 50-80 getting it stripped. So now I'm going to have a $20 tool box that's has 200+$ worth of mods
I think I've lost it, it'll be the coolest box around though
here is a picture of the color click me There is a lot of flake in it that you can't really see. I plan on doing silver and green metallic stripping (anyone got a good striper in So Cal?)
and yep, some of you will probably recognize the shop name, they do a lot of painting for Chip Foose and the Overhaulin' show.
