I have some very slight swirls/scratches on my 05 Audi A4 and i am looking for a good polish before i AIO and UPP. I was thinking about SSR 1.0, but I heard that it is not good for removing any defects. Is this true? Would 2.5 be too harsh?

I am rather new at this, so I am affraid to use menzerna IP and FP, as I have heard they are harder to work with.

I just want to prep it the right way.

Well, what would the difference be? Would I still need the 1.0 as a final polish before the AIO and UPP? I am still not knowing how many times I need to polish to get the best prep...



If 2.0 will remove all the swirls, what would the point of the 1.0 be?
 
I have not used any of the SSRs yet, and the only one I have is 2.5. From what I've heard, 2.5 can be used as a final polish since it doesn't leave any micromarring behind.

To answer your question "if 2.0 will remove all the swirls, what would the point of the 1.0 be?", I'd say go to http://www.autogeek.net, and read the description of the SSRs. I think it lays out the purpose of each one.
