Hello, I am starting up my own detailing buisness and I am not sure what kind of prices I should offer. I want to be competitive, but of course my objective is to make money. I have a location, and I'm in the process of gathering all of my supplies. If anyone could suggest a price list I would appreciate it.

Where are you from? What are the prices around you? How's the weather? What will you be doing? These are just a few questions that'll help us out with understanding your prices concerning your area and what you will be doing.
 
i agree with budman. It depends on your area. In my area I charge 35 for the first hour and 15/hour after that. Its almost pricey in our town but 45 minutes away is dirt cheap. Figure out what you want to make an hour and then you can figure out how much each job will cost based on time.

If you give some specifics and post in the profesional forum, I am sure that you will be able to find the answers you need, also do some searching down there and you will get a general idea of what some of the other members are charging for thier services.

Call up other places and ask for prices. You'll find a range, and decide where you need to fit in that range.
 
"Need Info" - I have completed a lot of research in pricing as well. I think that some prices are set with a relation to what part of the country you are located in. This question is one of the most often asked in this forum. Don't over or under appreciate your professional service. Call some local detailers and see what they charge. Set prices are not the answer. Make sure you inspect each vehicle before offering a quote. The same service for a brand new vehicle will be different than one for an older vehicle that has been neglected. For a complete detail service, I charge from $125 to $150. Remember, this is only an estimate. Depending on the condition of the vehicle I may have to charge more or can charge less. Hopes this helps some.
