I need a LOGO! anyone good?

anybody here good with graphic design? i need a logo to be designed. im ok with some graphic design just when it comes to a logo my ideas really fall flat.
here is an image of my business card to maybe help you out.(i made this card my self)

company name: Palmetto State Detailing

here is some things ideas i have: want palmetto trees in the logo, do not want the generic car outline logo's like most have. id like something unique,eye catching but not too "busy" as well. of course the logo needs to be easily printed onto t-shirts and decals, eventually i am going to have decals printed up that i will put into the door jambs of a customers vehicle letting know paint thickness averages, last detail date. and LSP that was added. if nobody here is good with graphic design do you know of anybody good on fiverr.com? or know of any good freelance artist? Thanks guys!
 
i checked his webpage, and judging by that he will be too expensive for what i have to spend. and what i have to spend is very little..
 
Good work isnt cheap but I do understand where your coming from. I got very lucky with mine because my best friend is a graphic designer and all he charged me was a steak dinner for my logo and watermark. The downside though was the quality isnt anywhere near what I would have gotten if I was a paying customer of his.
 
tkendrik, i searched before i made this thread, im not paying 150$.....anyone know a good user on fiverr? if anything i dont need the highest of quality either, as long as i have a good starting point i could use photoshop to add my own touches...im just out of ideas with a logo or else i would make it myself as im OK with graphic design.

I'm not the cheapest, but I'm not charging what a design agency charges either. I've got 21+ years in the design industry and will provide you 'quality' work.

I can respect the fact that you want to save money...but speaking from a professional in the design industry...your brand identity is what separates you from your competition. When people look for a product or service, the logo plays a big part in their purchasing decisions.

I always say this...if your logo looks professional, it gives the impression you take pride in your business. If your logo looks 'cheap', it gives the impression you don't care about quality and your services are likely sub-par as well.

Feel free to hit me up for a quote if you'd like. But if you can get it done elsewhere for cheaper, go right ahead. In the end, as long as you're happy with your brand identity, that's all that matters.

Agreed totally with what Tony said.... when you're starting/expanding a business it's all about crafting a brand identity and experience your customers can identify with. While I can appreciate being on a budget, your brand identity is one of the things you should invest in.

Having spent 25 years in the marketing business my opinion is that most everyone believes this. The lions share of that group aren't correct. As has been said previously this is the time to put a few bucks aside and look at what you're doing as an investment in your business's future. Get it right the first time and you won't have to consider making a change for a decade.
 
it was not easy, and I went through several people, but ultimately my logo was designed through fiverr.com (had to pay for 3 gigs from someone who was in high demand)

most of the graphic design work on fiverr is poor (you would laugh at some of these attempts) but there are some decent people on there (most of which require you to buy more than one gig)
 
The thing with the logo is that your going to build your whole company around it. my shirts,cards, truck, decals,website,receipts,Facebook page and even my avatar on this forum are all built around my logo. If you spend $5 on it your whole image will be built around a low budget logo. Why not hire a great graphic designer (you don't design logos in photo shop) and really build a professional image. I lucked out because my wife is a graphic designer.
