I got oversprayed!

Todd@RUPES

Just a regular guy
Went outside to get the mail and noticed my neighbor's house is another color. Hmmmmm.

Looked at my car, tan overspray all over the side.

Spoke to the painters, whose English was subpar at best, and tried to explain to them, nicely, what they did to my car. Was met with blank stares. I tried my best in Spanish, but failed.

Looks like a good time to do an overspray removal write up on my car or test some new products....

Or talk to your neighbor while wielding an ax handle!

You might want to try speaking with the painting contractor or ask the home owners who they used. If you would like to be compensated for removal of the OS.

They more then likely have a supervisor, I would get the business name and call them Todd. That sucks! Id be pretty pissed! Bonus you have some new content to help folks out here! Thanks in advance.

Well that sucks, by neighbor across the street just finished up a 6 month remodel on his house and I've had to do the "overspray removal' more than once, that god that's over.

That stinks Todd. Was it the Mazda Speed ???? Looking forward to your write up on the overspray.

Yes the Mazdaspeed. It isn't TOO bad, its only noticeable on the trim, glass and wiper blades for the most part. The paint has a lot of flake as well. It looked bad at first but a quick wipedown with FK425 removed most of it in the section I tried. I have a fresh (as in two days old) coat of Crystal Seal so I will give it a bath and see what comes off.

That sucks Todd, sorry to hear. If you need me to make some phone calls, let me know. ;)

I might take you up on that Matt! :bigups

Sorry to hear Todd. I am only interested in your write up if you use a razor blade.

:rofl I was gonna go there, but decided (wisely I might add) against it.

Sorry to hear that Todd. Hopefully you'll never be able to tell after you clean it up. It's always something, isn't it? :wall

Wow! Sorry to hear that Todd. You would think these guys would have thought of and found a solution to this by now.

Oh, well... Time to pull out the un-released BF Clay Bar replacement block and the BF lube and go to town...

Sorry that happened Todd! Wonder how your neighbors cars are fairing?

When I first read the thread title I thought to myself"Oh man Todd himself got oversprayed!?How the heck did that happen!?!:dunno:"
After you gasoline incidence anything is possible in your life!:D

I wondered why my luck has been better this week. The black cloud must have gone south. Please keep it there:).

Did any of it get on your vinyl hood wrap? If so, what would you do to remove it from the matte vinyl?
