A regular customer of mine is a lawyer with a black Caddy .. It wasn't freezing up here today so I did a wash for him. I usually return it and park it at his brothers hotel parking lot .. As I was parking it his brother who I approached months ago stopped me and asked to do his 04 silver M300.



The weather tomorrow is supposed to be sh*tty but I didn't want to turn it down as it may turn into another regular in the spring.



The lawyer treats me really well and they both are busy men with $$$..



All you guys down there in the banana belt think of me tomorrow as I am drying the snow flakes off the car and trying to get the wax to set up. Worst part tho is trying to clean the windows.



BTW 5C = 40F.
 
Q: How do you get wax to 'set-up' with a 40oF temp?

I thought that most waxes/sealant's required a surface temp of 60-65oF
 
I have done it in the mid 40's lots of times .. just a lot slower .. All my spring detailing on my black passat was below 50 F but the humidty wasn't there..



Job is off today anyway .. its snowing ..
 
I agree, the humidity makes doing the windows a real PITA. Really tough when you are finishing right around dusk.



I feel for you. Many days I have detailed cars where it didn't get warming than the mid 30s and the wind wouldn't let up. Just have to deal with it.
 
Why couldn't you use p21s or other wax that doesn't need to set up. Maybe do more than one panel , maybe the whole car before the final wipe. Windows? maybe 50/50 Iso. water mix.
