I finally took the plunge...

I paid $47 at Vistaprint.com to make my own custom cards. It came out much more expensive than I thought, and I was a little too exited to get them so I chose the $12 priority shipping. Now that I have some on hand I won't be paying that much again.

Here is how they turned out though:

Thanks to DavidB for the background image!!

Actually, not even. I'm just doing it in the summer, and maybe at most once a week while I'm going to school.

I just thought I should have a presentable business card nonetheless. thanks for the compliments.

lol, it was just a matter of choosing one of my favorite cars to show off, and using a simple yet effective background. when I saw Dave B's famous "I'm washing my car with my pager and belt on with only one bucket" I thought the pic of the all of the cleaning supplies would be perfect in the background.

Yes, I used Photoshop. It's basically three layers and lots of editing (cutting the car out of the original photo, tweaking the background image), the car, the cleaning supplies, and an 80% opacity white screen.

Chriswax? You stole my idea! I've been using Scottwax for years. You will be hearing from my lawyer on Monday. ;) j/k!

Actually, that is pretty funny. When my older son registered on Off-topic.net, so everyone would know he was my son, he used Chriswax as his user name.

That is a really good looking card!:up

I actually did steal the idea, I couldn't help it, heheh. Thanks very much, Scott. I just thought that a subdomain name such as that is VERY easy to remember. It's not all that unique, but it gets the job done and is pretty short. I'll be sure to put your website on my homepage that I'm building right now.

:) :xyxthumbs
