First off this is my new 2003 Z71 Tahoe. It started off with tons of white overspray and heavy swirls. This took me about 3 weeks to finally finish because i only had a little bit of time every weekend to finish it.

My process:

Wash: Mothers Gold Class

Clay: Claymagic Red (This wiped out the overspray really fast, highly recommend)

Machine: Dewalt Rotary

Polish: 2 passes with SSR 2 and 3m White cutting pad at 1400rpms
1 pass with SSR 1 and 3m Black polishing pad at 1400rpms.

Wax: Megs NXT

Nice correction pictures. I sure like the results!! For a while I thought it was a black truck but I realized that it is that green color that looks black at certain angles. I almost purchased a truck with that color Now that I see your I think maybe I made a wrong decison.;)

yea i was really kinda nervous using the rotary again but after i got goin i threw the pc aside and kept using the rotary because it was so much faster in breaking down the polish.

it certainly can be a time saver in the right hands:rockon

Very nice job on the truck. The paint came up really nice. You got to love the magic of a rotary. Did you wind up putting tire dressing on your tires?
