I am sure this isn't the most proper forum for this but it is paint maintence related.

I don't know what the hell is wrong with me and I am just careless with the worse luck ever with this car. Anyway... I left my car in the garage after I got home and closed the garage door. Two hours later I went out to the garage to leave and as I opened the garage the the door seemed stucked. HOLY F***king S**T. The car rolled back while i was inside and was sitting against the garage and the the F**KING door draged across the rear bumper of the car leaving deeply scorched verticle marks on the bumper. Three of them... The dent is visibe and caused by the bolt on the door while the car was resting on it.

What should I do now???? Should I sand it down and apply touch up paint??? The area where's dented is accessible because it's just above the license plate and it's a big empty hole. Can I stick a screw drive up there with a piece of wood to pop it back out??? Awww.... I want to scream and punch myself for doing what I did. :wall :wall

Holy crap dude! I thought this was gonna be some kind of weird suicide thread. Whew. I have no advice for the paint, just glad this isn't what I thought it was.

I am sorry... lol I've changed the title... but yes I am very upset right now because my car is only 1 year old.

Don't ever right that! I had a friend commit suicide last thursday. I know you didn't mean nothing by it but nothing isn't that bad to write that. No hard feelings or nothing meant bad to you. I just think nobody should ever write that unless serious and need help.

Sorry about your little scratch.

Its just a car, they make new ones every day.

Bondo, 400 grit. Primer, 600 -> 1500 grit. Paint, 2000 grit sand, buff with Powergloss. Follow with FPII. No one will be the wiser. Next time leave the handbrake on :).

. . . would get the title changed? :(

I do know how you feel, but as the others have said, it is repairable. :sadpace:

I scratched (down to bare metal) & dented my new car within 6 months :angry , and was only able to get it touched up for now. Good job, but every time I see that little "ding", it reminds me to be a little more careful when parking. :o

I know it sucks, but let me say this, when I first got my 2005 Frontier, I pulled into the garage, and for some reason did not set the ebrake and left the truck in neutral. Came back out about 30 minutes later and noticed the truck was not where I parked it, it had rolled about 2 feet back. Well, I pushed it a little and it started to roll out the garage, had the push mower right next to it, long story short, able to get in the truck and stop it, but not before the mower put a real LITTLE ding in the door. Not a big deal compared to the fact that it could have rolled into the street and killed someone, or my 3 month old and wife could have been walking behind it and got ran over. Now I am real careful and the ding is a reminder. The car can be fixed, if not by you, by someone!
