Hydro2-How much do you use?

Deciding on how big of a bottle to order and was wondering how many ounces do you estimate you use on a car and about how much for a truck and SUV. Not looking for any dilution ratios, just an estimate of how many ounces used per vehicle out of the spray bottle. Thanks.
:autopia:

I just buy the litre, a lot more for your money imo.
I would like to but I figured I would try out the 100ml first to see if my fire hose nozzle will be strong enough if I get out there before the sun rises. But I might still get the big bottle. See what the wife thinks about it

I usually can usually do car with 4oz+/- of total product, so 1oz of Hydro2.

Perfect. Thanks Troy. That is about what I was figuring for a car. Plan was to dilute 5:1 or 6:1 (2 black vehicles, 1 silver) with the 100ml which will make about 24oz and I was hoping to do at least a truck and a couple cars to test it out.

Also would the pressurized sprayer use too much product? Or should I stick with one of my good regular spray bottles?

The only thing with using it at such a diluted mixture is that durability will be compromised. I would try 4:1 for black IMO. For silver you can go 3:1 no problem.

I haven't tried a pressurized sprayer. I guess I assumed it would use more product. But the more I think about it the more interested I am especially if you could get a small 6-12oz unit.

I just use a small 6oz spray bottle that has a good fine mist spray pattern. I think I got it at the Dollar Store.

From what I have read you want the finest mist you can get and 1-2 quirts per panel then rinse it around the panel with best pressure you can hard stream water or power washer. Every think I have read is less is better/easier to work with. I am planing the same as you 6 parts water 1 part Hydro 2 dilution.

These will be on my personal vehicles and a friends that I was planning on doing for free for letting me borrow his truck. The truck and one of my vehicles are black and without having a pressure washer I thought it might be safer for first time use to dilute more. However for the silver it is my daily beater so I think I will do 3:1 on that since it won't show as much and I wouldn't care all that much if I don't get it perfect on that as long as I learn what I do wrong, if something goes wrong.

Good idea. I can use my small reload bottle.

I can do an average size vehicle with 100ml of diluted product. A full size SUV with 125-150 ml. That includes glass, wheels and wheel wells if applicable. Key is to get a good sprayer that atomizes well and reallize that you don't have to apply heavy.

I use this much.....

This much! I always mix it 4:1 because it is much more forgiving and I've seen 3 months+ durability out of it. Usually on a car if I use a 32oz bottle and pour hydro to the 4:1 line and rest with water I get 8 cars outts 32oz mixed product. Paint, glass, and wheels. You just Mist the panel and the shock of the water spreads it a lot. And the places that need a little more stand out big time when your spraying the car. Hope this helps!
