How's My Detailing Guide look?

How does this look? is it in right order? what should i change?



1-WASHING:

2-CLAYING:

3-DRYING:

4-POLISHING:

5-SEALING:

6-WAXING:
 
so it's in correct order? ok then, now i will list what name brand i'll be using for each steps. i haven't decided what I am going to use. still unsure. there's so many. maybe i'll just use Meguiars since that's what i see what everyone here uses most.
 
Hi guys. I'm very new with all this, and I have a couple of questions. I got a new Camry 4 months ago, I always keep it in the garage day and night, it didn't touch the rain yet (Socal weather). I would like to keep it as nice as possible..Now the other day after I washed the car with warm water, California Micro mitt and Meg's Gold Class car wash I applied a coat of Gold Class liquid wax with a pad and using microfibers to clean it. Now since the car is in a garage most of the day it doesn't get dirty but after a drive or two you can see some dust on it, so I use the California Duster (the real one) and wipe the car with a microfiber and Meg's quick detailer...

  • Am I doing something wrong???
    • Should I polish the car???
      • Is there a schedule, like polish every 3 month, clay every 6, remove wax???

      Like I said I have no idea of the steps that I should follow to keep the car always shinny.

It looks good to me (see pic)... Yea just wash and wax...I don't know if I should do another thing considering that the car is 4 months old.... I kind of want to know if I'm doing something wrong or if I should do something else (seal??) to have a good base. And a maintenance schedule that I should follow. I saw in another thread that a guy got a 07 Mercedes e63 and he had it detailed with clay bar, I though that was for used or old cars..

Whoa there!... maybe the majority of people use them here: Meguiar's Online



But on this site meguiars isnt the dominant product... there really isnt on here. sure there are you typical meguiars people and zaino people, but most of use use a wide range of products.



I myself will use megs pads, apc+, wheel brightener, colorX for surfaces that I dont feel like working with too long (door jambs and under hood), and thats about it. And megs apc+ and wheel brightener arent available in stores like the 70% of quality products.



I will use Optimum ONR, Hyper compound, compound, polish. Sonus sfx 3-1 and swirl buster, p21s, Klasse, EO wheel cleaner, 303 protectant, duragloss AW, odor elimator, and leather products, Turtle wax ICE QD, OXO duster, edge 2000 pads, folex, and plenty others that I must be forgetting.

    • Polish when needed, not more than 3 times a year I'd say.



      I dont know anything about the California Wash Mitt, but Walmart has Eurow Sheepskin mitts which are very popular here. Skip the CA Duster and use plush microfibers with a dedicated quick detailer.
