Boy, you guys haven't seen what I see in my area!

I grew up in Greenwich, CT which is one of the most affluent towns in the USA.

Kids used to get all high-end cars all the time! Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, a Ferrari as well.

Then, they go and wrap them around a tree or stone wall coming back from a night club year ago called "The Country House" in Banksville, NY which was a new wave and live band club over the line.

I used to detail several of these snot nose kids cars.

I lived on a 10 acre estate in Greenwich, but my parents made me go and buy my own car! Father was Commander in the Navy durring WWII, so I had no slack!

Nice work on some of these vehicles! Ahh to be young again!

Regards,

Deanski

Sir, with all due respect, and I'm not doubting your word, but how does one live on a 10 acre estate in Geenwich with a Navy background?

To my knowledge, A Navy Commander is the equivalent of a Air Force/Army/Marine Colonel (0-6.) Just short of being in the General ranks.

I can imagine the father of Dean was maybe in the medical field? Maybe a medical or dental field during WWII and now a successful doctor/dentist?

You would be seriously surprised. I know many people around here who are high ranking military types, generals, military medicine. Hardly a paltry salary there. Also bear in mind that just because someone joins the armed forces doesn't mean they aren't wealthy.

I for one have no reason to doubt Dean, why would he lie about his upbringing of all things? He's obviously successful enough now to drive a Lexus so what would be the point?

My brother was in the Marines for four years and didn't make much, but he also took some college courses in computers while he was in and now he is a system's analyst for a law firm and is getting his own computer business going. He definitely makes good money.

Military service can lead to terrific career opportunities.

Didn't mean making money in the armed services. Really contradicting things, high pay in the military, LOL.

I mean having the armed services open doors later in life for successful opportunities to open itself up.Could be Deans case, but for now. Im withdrawing from this thread, aka whatever. take it for what it is.
