How'd you like to be 17 and own this truck? (and other recent details!)

How'd you like to have got something like this when you were 17?

2003 Silverado SS, lowered, chrome 20's, $4000 stereo, chipped, cold air intake, Flowmaster duals with turn-downs at the back axle, etc.

I bought a 1971 Chevelle for $400 when I was 17!

Vanilla Moose/Carnauba Moose, btw. ;)

right thats it!!! which 17 year old owns that?!?! anyway i woulda put 23's on their not poxy 20's lol. i like the ford f350 imo, i think thats the one.

Remember that nasty BMW 740 I posted a while back (replete with a warning for AMP99 so he wouldn't have a heart attack when he saw it)?

The owner finally got the hail dents fixed and turned me loose on it. Slight improvement!

Swirl Free Polish, Vanilla Moose, Carnauba Moose

Now for the lovely Lexus non clearcoated black paint...:p

I regularly wash/wax this LX470, so it never gets too bad. Just a little Vanilla Moose and S100 was all it took.

Last one! I hate having to attach them all, but the gallery is down. :(

Anyway, this Escalade recently had both rear quarters and the rear bumper repainted, and of course, the body shop left swirls in the paint and light overspray over the whole rest of the vehicle.

I wanted to take some before and after shots, but it was cloudy when I started and you couldn't see the swirls. The owner said they weren't real bad, but enough that she noticed them.

After claying, I used DACP, Swirl Free and then Hand Polish on both rear quarters and then QDed with Quikshine. The rest of the Escalade hadn't been waxed since early June, so I went over the original paint with VM/CMW.

Finally got some decent light outside (but still not real direct), but I couldn't see any swirls left at all.

Oops! I lied. This is really the last one! ;)

Shot down the side of the Escalade.

First off: NICE PICS and WORK :bow

Next, I'm waiting for my gallon of QS, and they informed my when I called that tey ship it short and to add just tap water to the mark. My question, wouldn't be more prudent to use distilled water instead?

So far, the Megs FD is getting a workout! Nice stuff on Souveran paste. Can't wait to try the QS.

You know, I keep seeing so many posts lately with questions pertaining to DACP and polishes following. You need to put one of these in the "Hall of Fame" so it can be referenced to for those sceptical on the combo steps involved with DACP/SFP/HP or similar.

Next, an order for VM and CMW soon to try out.

Regards,

Deanski

Dean-I use distilled water also when I buy QS by the gallon, but since the shop near me sells quarts for $11 and gives me a professional discount, I only pay $9 a bottle!

Hell, I'm old enough to have grandchildren 17 yrs. old and I don't have a vehicle anywhere near as nice as that truck! Kids family must be loaded or is he a dot.com millionaire? He didn't get that truck by mowing lawns!

Scott,

Thanks big guy :p

Now, let's get these pics and products used to Hall of Fame so we can refer them to this area. All these DACP/what next posts are getting daunting!

I've been getting interesting results from grey finish pad use with very fine polishes to burnish the finish. The polish works alone without much effects from the pad. Saves me time and I seem to get better results.

Once again, Thanks and keep those pics and product used posts coming!

Regards,

Deanski

His Dad owns a bunch of topless clubs. When I was cleaning a truck at their offices this afternoon, they were wheeling in a dolly with about $30,000 in $1 bills to keep the clubs stocked with tip money for the weekend.

Nice work Scott.

That SS looks pretty good lowered, but I'm not liking the rollpan too much. It just doesn't go with the ground effects that come on the SS to me. :nixweiss I didn't know that drop kits were available for the SS this soon either. Any ideas as to who makes the drop kit? Once again, very nice work.:bigups

Guess that's why the SS's windshield banner reads "Slap A Ho' " ?

Actually it is a motorcycle accessory brand of some sort...at least that is what the kid said it was. :lol

Helmets, I think is what he said. I was working while he was telling me.

Speaking of Hondas....here is a pic of mine I took today. Not bad for nearly 14-year-old paint.

i'm an avid motorcyclist and i have NEVER heard of this brand. what a dumb name for a brand. i would never wear motorcycle gear with the brand "slapaho".

in any case, great job on those cars. :xyxthumbs
